There's some nice mods for it (HD remake pretty much) but they don't all work with that particular version.

So I just signed up for a Steam account finally. Can someone give me a quick rundown on how this works?

Never mind, can't even get the program to open. Keeps saying it needs a connection to the internet and nothing I tried worked. At least I didn't buy games.

Are the medium to high settings still pretty good for games like Battlefield 3?

I've looked into the Alienware x51, but it seems way overpriced for what you're actually getting.

Just be wary of no patch, and very little support.

Correct; however, mods have made the game much better than the console version. Rosters are up-to-date, graphics look better, etc.. So if you're willing to deal with installing mods, which is very easy, its definitely worth it. Like Millennium state though, there is no patch yet and very little support. So unless you're willing to put in some effort to install mods, stay away from the PC version.

If anyone decides to buy it and needs help with mods, feel free to drop me a line.

Only reason I would stay away from the PC version is if you are an online-only player.

Everything else is better on the PC, including rosters. You just have to download fan-made rosters instead of the official ones since 2K doesn't update the official rosters often.

Not trying to be a cheap-***, but its $2 cheaper for both on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Batman-Arkham-.../dp/B00APOVDKW. You get Steam codes for each game.
