Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
I just finished Spec Ops: The Line and WOW! I was so immersed in the story I just spent 3-hrs playing the game tonight so I could get to the end (spent 6-hrs total). I feel kinda pathetic since I kept dying on a specific level near the very end and the game kept recommending I lower the difficulty
. Oh well, I'm ready to play it again! I want to make different decisions just to see the cut scenes / ending.
The gameplay isn't as awful as people make it out to be, but the gun mechanics are jacked up in my opinion. Every pistol fires the same, every rifle fires the same, and the gun sounds aren't exactly great. I played the entire time with an X360 controller and I didn't have any issues with the controls. The only other downside was the total hours taken to beat the game. I'm very rarely play FPS or 3rd Person Shooters and I was able to finish the game in 5.9 hrs on Combat Ops difficulty (default) with one level completed on whatever the newbie difficulty is.
Overall, highly recommend the game for anyone looking for a different flavor of shooter. Game isn't worth the full price ($30), but I would definitely pick it up for 50% off or more. I picked it up during the Amazon Xmas sale for $2.49 and I feel like I ripped the company off; however, I will likely purchase Yager Developments' next development soon after release.

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
Well my logitech G500 finally crapped out on me. So I had to look into a new mouse. I was almost 100% going to go with the Razor deathadder. So I set out looking at different reviews on the top choices for mice from 2012 to 2013. This mouse kept coming up I never heard of and the price was really low compared to what I was expecting to spend. So after some thought, I decided what the hell and gave it a shot. It will be here Feb 26th, grabbed it off Amazon for $39 with free shipping. Does anyone have this mouse and can share what they think of it?

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
I hear ya. Bought my first top of the line type computer last spring and I have been about 90/10 PC to console gaming. I have several unopened console games because I just don't get around to them. PC games are just more interesting/varied/moddable for my tastes.Comment

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
Last time I "played" a game on the 360 was 6/27/12. I use quotations because it was just to download the expanded ending to ME3, I never did actually see it.PS: You guys are great.

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
I bought X-Com for $6,which is really awesome. Not much else to explain.
Crysis 3 looks fantastic with everything maxed. Apparently they only got 24 fps. Which is actually fine for that I think.Comment
