No one is playing for money yet so it probably won't be that bad.

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
DotA2 would like to speak with you.
It's just the types of players that MOBAs attract. I still like them, for all their faults. Just get ready to meet some crappy people (you will also meet some cool ones as well. Just not as many.)badComment

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
Same here, but I have been fooling around in DOTA 2 co-opt bot matches.
Today we had somebody on the team call mid, and then this Lina just decided to hang out in mid too. Hilarious, especially when I saw her behind a tier 1 tower just running around.Comment

GMG has some great deals on 2k Games this weekend:
Highly recommend NBA2k13 if you're a "franchise player" and don't care about multiplayer. PC version is much better than the console version once mods are added.Comment

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
yup, CKII is one of today's 75% off titles. you can get the entire CKII collection(base game + all DLC except the recently released ones like The Old Gods) for $20. all the individual DLCs are also 75%(except the recently released ones).Valve must have been listening when we were talking about Crusader Kings II...its 50% off this weekend
Explore one of the defining periods in world history in an experience crafted by the masters of Grand Strategy.
Of note, since its a Paradox weekend sale, CKII will likely be 66% or 75% off later this week since the primary sale changes each day.
other paradox games at 75% off today:
Crusader kings complete(base game and I think 1 expansion) $2.49.
March of the Eagles $4.99
Victoria Collection $9.99 - has Victoria 1, Victoria 2 + a few DLCs and one of the expansions, does not include the one released earlier this year. However, it is also 75% off as well at $4.99
Europa Universalis III Complete $3.74 - base game + 2 expansions
Europa Universalis III Chronicles $7.49 - Europa Universalis III Complete + the other 2 expansions
Europa Universalis: Rome - Gold Edition $2.49
Europa Universalis III: Divine Wind - $2.49 - this is part of Europa Universalis III ChroniclesLast edited by Solidice; 06-21-2013, 12:13 PM.Comment

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
picked up March of the Eagles. I had just got done playing the demo right before the steam store updated. While I wouldn't put the game up there with CKII or the EU series. It's definitely worth a $5 purchase.
also picked up the Victoria collection + Heart of Darkness. already owned the base game of Vic 2(though it wasn't the steam version), but never got either expansion, and I never played the original Victoria game.Comment

Get Crusader Kings 2...most definitely.
Just bought EU3. I bought a digital copy years ago and then think I even got it for free a few months back but hell I want it on Steam.Comment

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
I'm sitting here watching some "Play Now's" - mainly tutorial stuff. Just watched a few on Victoria 2. It looks pretty cool.
I have Civ V but just never could get that into it so I'm looking for something new/different.
Going to watch a few on CKII and EU3 now. I also downloaded a EU3 demo.
I'll probably pass on EU3 since 4 is coming soon.Joshua:

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
CKII: Sword of Islam, The Republic, Legacy of Rome, and The Old Gods are the big DLC/expansions. most allow other religions to be playable(otherwise you can only pick a christian ruler). The Old Gods also extends the timeline by 200 years. the other DLCs are pictures, unit models, and music. although the CKII music is pretty awesome, IMO.
however, if you have no intention of playing a muslim ruler, or a republic ruler, you could probably skip Sword of Islam and The Republic. most of the gameplay changes that came with it was also in the base game patch. the DLC basically unlocks them to be playable. Legacy of rome is similar, but you also get retinues, which are standing armies. you can't get that without the DLC.
The sunset invasion is considered an expansion/main DLC, but it's based on a mythical Aztec invasion of Europe. I normally have it disabled as I don't really want Aztec invading Europe.
haven't played with the Vic 2 DLCs yet, I've only played the base game. but I did pick them up now.Last edited by Solidice; 06-21-2013, 05:04 PM.Comment
