Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread

So I played some CS:GO last night for the first time in a while. I'm far from good at the game but I did end up having a decent round of 19 kills, 5 assists, 2 deaths, and 5 MVPs.

I recently got Adobe Premiere and haven't had a chance to test it out, so I took that round as an opportunity to quickly test some of the functions.

45 min of editing and this is what I came out with, my goal was to sync kills with the music's beat. I have much more to learn but didn't think it came out too bad for a super fast thrown together montage.

**Weirdly enough the source is loud and clear but YouTube lowered the volume a lot on the upload**

It's a GPD WIN. A fully functional PC the size of a 3DS that can play a bunch of less demanding PC games. I'm playing games like Mass Effect and Fallout on the go. It's awesome!

I don't currently play anything on
battle.net, but do plan on getting D2 on PC. Solidice#11688
Also getting it on Xbox one, but likely will end up on PC more in the end.

Is it a bad idea to buy used? I'm scared to death to buy a gaming rig due to the fact I am totally lost as to what I should get. Been procrastinating for about 4 months now but I'm about ready to jump but don't want to get burnt.

What do you guys think about this? He's lowered his price to $1350. Says he has all his receipts/paperwork.

And with that question I think I'll stick to Microcenter. Thank you fishepa. I'm truly clueless.

At the least the prices of the parts add up to around that amount. All you would need are HDDs and a GPU.

Its not an awful time to buy pre-builds with the GPU shortage that is going on. Costco even has some great deals from time to time. I would just keep an eye out.

Microcenter has some pretty decent builds if you'd rather not build it yourself.

                              http://www.microcenter.com/product/4...sktop_Computer - $1150 (Ryzen 7 1700, 16GB RAM, 1070 GPU and 480GB SSD, Windows 10 license), Just need a monitor and keyboard/mouse.

If you decide to build it yourself, they'll help you pick out your parts and they'll also let you put it together at the front of the store so that you can ask them questions. Their tech team is way more knowledgeable than other stores.

That's actually a pretty good deal. Would probably still need a second hard drive eventually for storage.
