Like others have said it's all about what games you prefer. There are a ton of classics out there that are still relevant today. A few other modern ones to mention though:

    Shooters - Overwatch, Destiny 2, Division 2

Action RPG - The Witcher trilogy

    RTS - Starcraft 2

Baseball sim - Out of the Park Baseball XX

You could also try out Microsoft's new game subscription service for PC. It's like $5/month and you get access to a library of like 20 games. Several of them are pretty high profile.

Very irrelevant. So many mods for 2K from cyber faces to lighting to full retro rosters with that era uniforms & courts, specific era score boards you can use. There is even a guy on there that made a college basketball mod with over 80 teams. The possibilities are endless.

The complaints about 2k on PC generally all have to do with online play. If you are an offline guy then 2k on PC is amazing.

            If you're playing as a player it's a heck of a grind.

Unrelated, install and subscribe to Xbox Game Pass, install stuff that looks cool, repeat.

Consider doing the same for Origin Premier for all of EA's games and then some.

Many of the good games were already listed by others but also going to throw in a couple of ones that you don't typically see on consoles.

              • Rimworld
              • Oxygen Not Included

Both are fantastic management-simulation games where you tell your characters what to do and they mostly ignore you and cause chaos (okay not seriously, but sometimes it feels that way).

              • Factorio
              • Satisfactory

Satisfactory is in Early Access on the Epic Game Store. It is similar to Factorio but in first-person. Both games task you with building an efficient machine-run factory on a foreign planet. There are aliens, dangers, and mind-numbing moments that make success feel like your greatest triumphs.

              • Subnautica

Subnautica is kind of like No Man's Sky but underwater. Unlike NMS, it has a huge fanbase that has loved the game from the beginning and it has a much tighter narrative.

              • Papers, Please

If you want a simpler game that surprises you with its difficulty, give this one a shot. It's not that expensive and not that power consuming even on older machines. In Papers, Please you are a border agent for a fictional country. Make sure everyone has the right papers to enter legally to increase your daily income and avoid starvation, that is, if your corrupt country doesn't imprison you and your family first.

Well I’m back in the PC game. Grabbed this today. Stayed with my LG 4K monitor. Was able to get it for $1349 since I had a 10% Birthday coupon from BB.

I was playing HOI4 as the US and my Europe invasion force was decimated, 500K gone.

Think that is it for this play through. Note to self for the next game, MORE transport ships.
