If you guys are debating between the Gold headset and the Pulse Elite, go for the Pulse Elites. They have better drivers (this is what makes up the price difference between the two models), which results in better sound quality overall -- they have pretty good & clear mids and highs. There's also a thread on the audiophile forums, Head-Fi, where users generally liked them.

But what also sets them apart is that the Pulse Elites have a 3.5mm jack on the USB dongle (the Golds do not have this). This is, imo, such an amazing feature that they, unfortunately, removed from the Gold headset. This means that you can use the Pulse Elites wirelessly with just about any device, even your TV. Just plug your device into the 3.5mm jack on the USB dongle and then plug the dongle into something to power it and you're good to go with wireless sound. It already comes with a 3.5mm male-to-male connector, too.

But the biggest advantage of the 3.5mm jack on the USB dongle is that you can use it with a DAC/headphone amp for even better sound quality, or with something like the Turtle Beach EarForce DSS for better Virtual Surround (because the built in Sony VSS is not as good).

Couldn't agree more. The Pulse Elites are a great gaming (and versatile) headset.
I love the multi-usability of them. My son even uses them when watching movies in the truck.

I picked up the wireless Gold headset tonight. After I spend some time with them I will report back. This is my first ever gaming headset. Picked these over the elites because of price and the cracking issue on the elites.

I know there have been some reports about the cracking, but for what it's worth, I've had mine since the day they came out and they are still in perfect condition. And that is with pretty heavy use, as well as travelling with them. I do keep them on a stand when not in use though.

Has anyone experienced any audio drops in 2k? I rented killzone and it won't even play. Keeps saying the disc is bad or the hdd is corrupt. Now Audio drops in 2k I'm worried the system might have issues.

I've been getting the audio drops in 2K lately too. That wasn't always the case though.

That started after the ps4 1.06 update so if you have an optical hookup it messes up the audio. Every one is having that issue

Yeah this. Sorry for confusion.

Yeah, but he said it's ridiculous you can't use a bluetooth headset with the PS4 unless it's a specific one, no bluetooth headsets work with the PS4.

Whenever I play 2K I have to go into my audio settings and take it off optical and go back to hdmi.

But for BF4 optical works fine.

Reporting back on the Gold Headset.

I love it. The sound is very crisp. The bass is excellent, may be the best headset I have ever had. The battery life is really good. Only running on the initial charge, I have been able to play for an hour or two a night and the battery life is still at 2 of 3 bars.

The only real downside, and its not much of a downside, is that its kind of heavy. And I originally had some issues with the volume for sound and chat volume. But I think I just had it backwards.

Sports in general on the PS4 has been a very favorable experience for me for the most part. Fifa is great. I still haven't played any online matches in it yet, but I plan to do that soon.

If you can get past a little lag every now and then, Fifa plays great online on PS4. Plus, if you're playing some annoying PSG user who love to show you the entire 5 minute intro to a game instead of skipping through it, you can show him replays of all your goals in amazing quality. All jokes aside, I think the replays system in Fifa ps4 is some of the best in sports games, 2nd only to the Show.

I wish the rubber on the sticks of the DS4 were more durable as they wear down pretty quick. My left stick is beat up the most.
