Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
So I have a pair of Astro A40s and while I do like them a lot, I have gotten really tired of the wires with them. I'm thinking about getting the Golds or the Pulse Elites. Can you guys give me some recommendations on which I should get?Comment

I am fairly new to the headset scene but with the few that I have tried I would say the best bang for your buck is with the Golds, they are pretty good and I think if you look around a few places are offering them for $79 you can't beat that as they were already priced pretty good at the original $99 price tag, I am sure someone else on here can give you a more in depth breakdown on whats better but IMO the Golds are great and have no wiresComment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Just a rumor that might have been leaked, but Gamepur is identifying that Sony will be announcing a $50 price cut for the PS4 at E3. More interesting, the PS Vita will receive $110 price cut.
Second, Xbox One outsold PS4 by only 13K in March. Big deal. Sony won January by 40k, February by 76k and March by a whopping 105k. I honestly don't see why Sony would drop the price of the PS4. As for May, it could go either way but I think the PS4 version of The Witcher III: Wild Hunt and PS4 exclusive Ultra Street Fighter IV will give Sony the win by a slight margin.
Third, even though it's close in NA, worldwide, Sony is dominating and this is despite only having two major exclusives in the last 14 months (Bloodborne and Infamous) - three if you want to count The Order: 1886.
Fourth, all Sony has to do is absorb Microsoft's "all in" approach this holiday season and stay on course. Sony has Uncharted 4 and SFV next March and April so regardless of how well Microsoft does this coming holiday season, whatever Sony loses in sales will easily be made up for in less than a year from now especially with the PS4 Uncharted 4 bundle.
Fifth, instead of dropping the price to $350 this year at E3, I would be developing the slim model and release it next July after showing it off at E3 2016 with a new retail price of $300. This makes the most sense especially since Morpheus is supposed to release at the end of 2016 for $200. A price drop for PS4 is then necessary because while $500 for both is a lot, if people can spend $500 on Xbox One with Kinect, im pretty sure people will spend the same on PS4 and Morpheus.
Sixth, Microsoft will be the only one of the three to drop the price of their console at E3 this coming June to $300. Microsoft is desperate, Sony isn't and that's the difference.
If any system needs a price drop, its the Wii U. Come on Nintendo, $200 is my sweet spot to buy your inferior console. Let's go, let's go.
As for Vita, $110 would make it $90 wouldn't it? That's weird. I can definitely see a price drop for Vita to $100. Personally, Sony should discontinue PSTV and release a new Vita model with an HDMI port for $200. Now, that would be awesome and worth buying. Portable, remote play and ability to play EVERY Vita game on your HDTV??? That would be sweet.
Sorry for the rant and while I could see an announcement for a PS4 price drop in the fall as Sony is skipping GamesCom, I personally don't think they have to or need to. In the end, I put the chances of Sony announcing a price drop at E3 at 0%. No reason for Sony to panic like Sega did 20 years ago. :PComment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Eh, not going to go point for point, but I'd say it's far from a 0% chance and don't see it as panicking either way. Losing a month in their most important region for no apparent reason isn't something to take lightly, and I don't see the bundles moving the needle that much when they've done pretty well to this point with adoption. Just conceding a holiday season isn't going to happen either.
Will be surprised if Morpheus is less than $299. None of the VR helmets are going to be cheap. Just too much tech + early adopter tax.Comment

Not sure if you favor Xbox One over PS4 but not me. In fact, I just sold my Xbox One for $250 without the controller or Halo: MCC. Those two combined will get me the other $50. Overall, I lost $30 in Best Buy credit which is no big deal at all to me. For me, there's nothing on Xbox One until Rise of the Tomb Raider and that's a six month timed exclusive. I can wait it out. Quantum Break got delayed until 2016 sometime and Scalebound is also due in 2016. Those two games will be what determines if I buy an Xbox One later on. Except for the NFL Draft, it was in the box the entire time. Third party wise, the only difference is in visuals but I do like the DS4 over the Xbox One controller. Funny considering I preferred Xbox 360 over PS3 from top to bottom except for Uncharted and The Last of Us. Oh well.
If Morpheus is the same price as PS4 or higher, I would consider it to be dead on arrival. $200 is more than enough especially for a peripheral that quite simply can go either way. Personally, im hoping that ALL of the VR stuff bombs badly and dies within a year as I have no interest in any of it and if that's how the future of gaming goes, im done 100% and will stay with what's currently available and the past.
PS3 and 360 should be cut to $100 though. Time for both Sony and Microsoft to start fading them away and best way to do that is via the $100 price tag.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
But they barely lost. I can see if Sony lost like six months straight but one out of four? No biggie whatsoever especially when they're dominating overall and won the other three months by triple or more. More likely, Sony will have an MGS V bundle as well as one or two other bundles for the holiday season. Won't be surprised if they somehow get MGS V as a timed or full exclusive either as that's a rumor going around.

One month out of four is no biggie and while Bloodborne declined in sales disc wise, it made up for it digitally. Just don't see Sony announcing a price drop at all. The Batman bundles pretty much confirm that there won't be a price drop. Also, why I don't see Nintendo announcing a price drop either as they the Splatoon bundle. To me, it all points to an Xbox One price drop to $300.

I am playing nba and madden along with COD and Witcher 3 on xbox one and have those same games on ps4 for a long time now except witcher and it feels new and fresh on xbox one.
I love the xbox one controller. Just the fact that the sticks are off center makes a world of a difference to me. The rumbel is fantastic in madden when getting hit you feel weight to players and cross overs in nba 2k feel weighty
THe gap has been reduced in multi plats and right now I enjoy the exclusives on ps4 like bloodborne but am making the xbox one my sports console and ps4 everything else except shooters
Xbox one is going to win May as well with the white xbox one console releasing the 25th but next month the ps4 will take it with the batman console.Comment
