How long does it usually take for full games to download to the PS4? I have a 50 down 20 up connection. Thinking of digitally downloading Madden, but want to make sure it will be ready by launch tomorrow night.

If you put the PS4 in rest mode it won't take long at all.

Thanks. I got Madden ordered from Best Buy for Tuesday delivery, but not sure if they put in the mailbox. With my bum leg and my driveway a pretty steep hill, I don't really feel like taking the chance of using crutches to my mail box. Figured I can just return disk and do digital to have it ready to go that morning.

Can you take a picture of the screws

Went to walmart and got a screw driver set that was small and works fine now. Issue is that I messed up the hard drive i bought as I tried to remove the cap for the USB and raised the cover to much and now it sticks out. I am going to exchange it tomorrow at best buy

As for the console the jet engine is gone...I fired up the SHOW and whisper quiet and I mean whisper quiet. No games so far are making the jet engine sound.

The console is a tad slight smaller and lighter but hate the physical cheap buttons. No biggie though

Not sure I'm seeing why there'd be a different in noise, unless there was an issue w/ the game (Rocket League has one didn't it?) or the console.

The PS4 makes jet noises it is well documented....When I fire up the Show forget about it..Sounds like La Guardia airport in my living room.

It starts to settle but you can still hear it a bit during the game

Same with blood borne at times.

And this is without any discs

This new PS4 was made to have less fan noise...Google it and you will see

Depends on how far away you are from the PS4 and how quiet it is in your room. I can definitely hear it at night time from 6 1/2 feet away.

The airplane comparisons always confuse me. Like...I have no idea how anyone could have an actual conversation about normal noise level when someone says their console sounds like a jet.

Downloaded NCAA 14 on my PS3 last night and I was quickly reminded of just how much download times have improved from PS3 to PS4.

They are still a bit slower than the One IMO, but It's much improved.

Doesn't sound like a jet, more like a hair dryer on medium or low.

Yeah, that's as bad as mine gets. It's not silent, but not stupidly loud or anything. NY's post mentioning a jet made me think of all the times I read overexaggerations like that and they just make no sense.

Sorry but it is loud and many note this. It might not be loud at all to you but to me it is very distracting.

So last update on this.

I am extremely satisfied with the new model ps4. It is whisper quiet and I mean whisper. It makes zero sound, you do not hear the fans at all even when playing games like the Show which are huge on the GPU

The only negatives is the cheap physical buttons on the ps4 and the fact that even as an all matte finish you still get tons of stains on the console from fingers

It weighs less and looks a tad bit smaller. The box was much smaller that it came in and it was packed weird and not like the original ps4

The PS4 is an amazing system but I can't deny the fans would drive me nuts. Some may find that petty but for me I hated it.

I don't think the fan is that loud compared to other systems. With my mostly digital lineup I don't have the disc spinning either.

Late night I usually put the cans on so I don't hear a thing through them.
