    Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion

Got my PS4 open and replaced the PSU and now she's working just fine. I had my compressed air ready to use to clean, but when I got it opened it looked brand new still. There was no dust in sight which surprised me since this is a launch console.

My console is also running really quiet with The Show which is nice. It used to sound like a jet.

I still have two controllers that work great for me. I have "dropped" them numerous times and still work.

Is anyone doing the Paragon early-access, or waiting for the F2P full launch?

If anyone is playing right now let me know, been dabbling in it the last month or so. I like the PC/PS4 cross-play. I typically set up my decks and whatnot on PC since it is a little easier to navigate, then play on PS4. Like that it's the same account for both.

It has full KB/Mouse support on PS4 as well, can just plug your KB and mouse into your PS4 if you want to play it that way. I kind of like it with a controller though.

Also love that you can level up completely playing against AI if you want to

If you haven't done it already, Go into your options and set the light bar on your controller to DIM, this will save battery life.

I finally upgraded my hard drive last night. Put in a seagate 2TB HD. $109.99 at Best Buy. So simple, I was back up and running in ten minutes. Installed 9 games over night, doing 10 more while I'm at work today. So glad I won't have to keep deleting and reinstalling games. Should have done this on day one.

Casual reminder that, if you intend to play NBA2K16 for PS Plus, you need to at least select "Add To Library" before it leaves the store (likely in July) - that counts as the "purchase". You don't have to download the entire thing this month.

I have 140gb free on my hard drive, but my PS4 still will not allow me to download any games.

Every time I try it says "Cannot Download. To download the content, you must delete unnecessary content from system storage."

I've tried clearing even more space, shutting down and restarting the console, removing the game from the download q and then going back into my library and starting it again, and finding it in the store and triggering the download from there. I also tried multiple games to verify.

Anyone had this happen before ? I slept it off and tried again this morning and my system downloaded a Sharefactory update over night, but still no dice.

I got buzzed for trying to download 2k16 with about 60 GB free (it's around 51, but I think the download process needs a bit extra to function correctly), but after deleting a couple games it was fine. Getting that message at 140 free does seem like a problem.

                    Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion

So this is more ps3 but I figured I would put it here and I am wondering if any one has had any thing like this happened to them before? So during the ps2 gen I was a gamecube guy never had a ps2. Then once ps3 came out I got into sony and ended up playing Rachet and clank crack in time on ps3 and was hoocked. I then went back and got a lot of other Ratchet and clank games like the ps3 collection that had 3 old games and also had a digital copy of another Ratchet and Clank game. Now Ratchet and clank is one of my favorite video game franchises of all time. Any way this brings me up to today. I got Ratchet and clank full frontal assault a while back but I have yet to play it becuase of life and other games and I just found out that the game comes with a digital version of Ratchet and Clank deadlocked HD a Ratchet and clank game I dont have. When you put the game in there is something called disk benefits you can click on to get the Deadlocked game. I found this out on the internet yesterday when I was looking for some things. This whole time I had no idea and the problem is that now the disk benefits have expired which means I cant get Deadlocked any more in less I buy it off the PSN. Really sucks I missed out on a free game that I had no idea about. This is also why I am a disk guy always over digital becuase with digital you really dont own something becuase if the services shuts down at some point it is gone and there is no way to get something back.

That is strange. That probably does come with their statements, though: you are not the rightful owner of the digital version.

However, at least without any sort of disc backwards compatibility, digital versions provide you the opportunity to not have to pay for it again at times.

While I googled this and it looks like when the game came out there was nothing that said it would expire of such and such date and it doesn't even say any thing about the game thing on the games disk. So in less you look online or something or had played the game before it expired there was no way to know that it would expire or that this was even a thing.

I do know that if you have a digital game you can redownload the game but if they take it off line then there is no way to redownload it if you need to if your system breaks and you have to get a new system. Where if you have a disk and your systems breaks and you have to get a new system you just put the disk in and you are good to go with the game on the new system. That is the issue with Digital there needs to be a way where you can back up a game and just transfer it to a new system like you can with a game save.

They shut down all the disk benefits a couple months ago, they warned anyone who had one of the games and hadn't utilized the disk benefits. My guess is they shut down those authentication servers. Also, you only had to authenticate the disk benefits once. There weren't but like 4 or 5 games that even used that, I'm not sure people cared, plus every one was buying a disk and unlocking the vita version and they stopped making vita versions of games (Ratchet and Clank was an anomaly, since the vita version was delayed so long they gave away another R&C game to compensate).

While like I said I have never even heard of this Disk benefits thing before so this was news to me and I am just mad that I missed out on a game from one of my favorite franchises of all time. I am not sure if people didn't care but considering I had no idea about this and considering only a few games have even done this disk benefits I am sure a lot of people didn't even now about it in the first place. Yeah when I googled it I think I found something about it stopped in April or something and something about the compensate. Just sucks because I would like to have the game and I think it cost $10 on PSN but now knowing I could have gotten it for free If I buy it I kind of fell like I am getting $10 stolen from me knowing it could have been for free.
