Speaking of the PC vs consoles "debate"...just over 4 years ago I spent $2800 on a top of the line ASUS gaming laptop. Since I'm buying Quantum Break tomorrow I am getting a free copy of the Windows 10 version. I check the system specs thinking my laptop would run it but probably at lower settings.



Nope, my $2800 laptop which was as badass as they come 4 years and 1 month ago won't even run Quantum Break on the lowest possible setting.



Then I look over at my PS4 and Xbox One and remember why I prefer console gaming. I've had my PS4 for 2 years. I'll bet in 2 more years when its 4 years old it'll still be relevant to new PS4 games.



$399 versus $2,800 and the cheap one runs games for years and years while the other simply....doesn't. End of debate IMO.

What laptop did you get?

Gaming laptops will always be expensive. You're paying for portability. The components are also not as powerful as their desktop counterparts.

As far as that game goes, I think that's a poor example as there hasn't been any pc reviews yet so you're just judging based on the minimum requirements. There's a very good chance this is a garbage, lazy port just like Gears. The graphical options are bare so theres little room to downgrade the requirements. Again, a sign of a poor port that's not worthy of $60

You need to step away from the ledge. They aren't going to make PS4K exclusives. They aren't going to make the PS4 irrelevant. Your PS4 will play the same games as the PS4K except it will look a little worse but you won't know that because you won't own a PS4K.

Have to wait and see. If they don't develop exclusives for PS4.5, then I really don't see the point of it. But whatever.

What's the point of the newest iPhone? Just some new glamorous features but it still functions the same way as my regular iPhone 6.

I'm still trying to figure why people are getting all bent out of shape and writing entire Encyclopedia Brittanica entries. We don't know **** about the PS4.5. Instead of declaring that it's going to be doom and gloom and the end of gaming as we know it and $69.99 or even $99.99 games, how about we just wait until we have ACTUAL FACTS from Sony before we start crying and bashing the idea.

I mean, damn, I didn't realize I was starting chapter one of the complete works of Shakespeare on that last post by Daniel. Damn that was a long *** read, lol. Let's just leave the doom and gloom on the sidelines for now until actual facts are reported or announced. Instead of taking rumors and trying to turn them into so called facts.

Why do so many people complain about long posts? I read my post and it took 30 seconds to finish. Seriously, sometimes I think that people can't read or have trouble reading because I have seen and read posts LONGER than mine and it doesn't take long at all.

What was the point of the PS3 slim?

To cut down the cost of manufacturing the console and in turn, lower the price. PS4.5 would be going in the opposite direction.

It's the same concept. I had a fatty 20GB PS3 and it played the same PS3 games as the new slim PS3 did. Just like the PS4 and PS4K.

Except the fact that there were no actual differences when playing the same game. If what has been rumored turns out to be true, there will be differences when playing the same game and comparing it between PS4 and PS4.5.

Also, the slim PS3 and super slim PS3 were cheaper than the previous model. PS4.5 will NOT be cheaper or even the same price. Instead, it will be more expensive.

Sometimes, I truly wonder how gamers don't see what's wrong with this but then I realize that these are the same gamers that purchase season passes, DLC, pay for micro-transactions, etc. which in turn makes me realize why Sony is doing this - because they know they have millions of morons who will support this even though they shouldn't.

Damn, all this PS4.5 crap is annoying as hell. I mean I just repurchased an new ps4 a little over a week ago and then all the ps4.5 talk.

Honest in think this gen games look fabulous in the state they are right now, 4k graphics will give it a bit more pop, kinda means nothing to me. Also selling a 4k gaming machine that will just supposedly upscale to 4k and you will have to have a 4k tv to do so doesn't make much sense at all. I own both consoles and love both of them and with Sony being ahead of MS with more then 20 mil more sold is kinda stupid move on their part.

I just bought a new a TV last month and had all the dough to get a 4k set and passed caused I don't watch Blu-ray movies and nothing else supports 4k and to be honest 4k is the most over rated tech if I ever seen, minus 4k both of my sets look great without 4k.

It it would support OLED TECH , then that's something to talk about.

It's like buying a boat in the dessert with no water around. Just my take

If some of my fellow gamers wanna spend their hard earned money on tech that's not even really going to be what Sony may make it out to be, who am I. Spend away

The PS3 also didn't have any kind of great technological advancement that's well supported of from the tv and movie industry.

The PS3 supports blu ray/1080p/3D. So does the PS4 minus 3D.

4K is the next big thing if you like it or not. Sony is trying to get ahead of technology like they did with blu ray and the PS3.

All technology companies come up with something better after 2-3 years. Phones, TVs, tablets, computers/laptops. What made you think gaming consoles was exempt from this?

Sony doesn't owe us anything. Their only job is to make money and it appears they believe a 4K console is the correct choice. I like it and I'll buy it just because it can play 4K movies.
