What is it about the PlayStation 4 controller that is giving you guys problems? Was the PlayStation 3 controller the same? How about the original PlayStation and PlayStation 2 controllers?

The DS4 controller is perfectly fine, I just prefer the Xbox One controller. Especially the Elite controller.

Size is good for the ds4.

The rubber on the sticks is terrible on all the ones I've had (and that's ripping off with very limited rather gentle use.)

Battery life sucks. TouchPad is unnecessary and rather worthless.

PS3/2/X controllers all had their various ups and downs. As did the launch xbone controllers.

I never really cared for the asymmetrical design of the Xbox controllers... being that my hands are symmetrical and all.

Going from 360 to PS4 to X1, I didn't realize how much more comfortable the offset actually was until I made the switch back to M$.

The touchpad has it uses just few developers use it. The light bar is nice but hard to see. I wouldn't say either is "useless" though.

Overall I like the DS4 triggers but I just prefer the Xbox one offset I guess. Maybe its from all those 360 gaming years.

Yeah, Rocket League is the only game that uses the touch pad effectively...users can hit it to then type in chat.

You'd think others would allow us to do that...I'd love that functionality in BF1 to tell teammates to defend this point, watch out for this guy, more guys at that point, etc. I want to be able to use chat similar to PC.

I'm thinking of buying the Brooks Super Converter so I can use my Xbox One controller on my PS4. I think it will be perfect for Battlefield 1.



Has anyone tried one? Any thoughts?

Mike talk with Mill. He has one and was using it a couple nights ago on one of his streams or was talking about it just showing up the other day.

A friend of mine just punished her child by taking his PS4 away from him for the entire rest of the school year! She brought it over to my house, im about to hook this baby up, create my own account, and play it, lol. Thinking about buying The Last of Us Remaster.

Not that but:
I just got the cronus max plus. Mainly as I wanted to use the Elite on PS4. (Requires a separate USB to work on PS4 due to controller verification/disconnecting) but setup was a breeze and works flawlessly.

You hook up the Cronus to PC to update the firmware etc..
Then it plugs in PS4. XBOX controller and PS4 controller both plug in USB Hub and the USB hub into the Cronus.

You can setup different things that the select button does (Like I had setting 1 make the select button be like hitting the touchpad)
Also has many built in "mods" you can download to it for different games.

With that said even though it worked GREAT.. I took it back as all the wires got on my nerves as the controllers all had to be hooked up via the cables.

The actual sticks and the offset sticks are amazing. Also, I have huge hands so I prefer the Xbox one

This pretty much echoes my feelings exactly as well.

I don't hate the DS4 controller but I much prefer the Xbox one. I am going to definitely be adding X1 sticks to my DS4 in the near future.

The offset sticks I don't think have ever been a plus or minus for me, it was just at launch if I had to pick a favorite I'd have probable gone w/ the DS4, partly because it was such a big improvement over the DS3.

Over time as my DS4 sticks shredded and used the Xbox One more I got used to the changes and went back to enjoying it more because of the larger size, but we've got 2 really nice controllers this gen.

We've all pretty much come out ahead no matter which one we prefer.
