What is that plugged into it though? I don't want any cords.

Is this it? The keyboard doesn't look quite the same but I don't see any others on Walmarts site. This is $19.99 though btw.

Yeah it feels that way to me as well since I started using it when I got my Pro a few days ago. I mentioned it to my brother & he was unsure so just wanted to see how it was for you guys. Thanks.

So I caved and ordered a PS4 Pro, it should be here tomorrow.

So what do I need to make sure I do before I hook up the Pro and sell off my OG PS4. Deactivate the account, transferring saves etc...?

          Thanks!

If you have an external drive use the PS4 backup feature to make a copy of everything. Then deactivate the PS4.

Then after the new one arrives, use the external drive to restore. Then activate your primary.

Then go back to your old PS4 and reset it to default so you can sell it or trade it in.

I have a Seagate 2TB in my OG PS4. I guess I could just download my saves from the cloud, correct?

I do plan on leaving that 2TB harddrive in the OG when I sell it.

Well, you could still do that. And yes you could go the cloud save route but then you have to do a bit more work.

The way I did it was backup the night before, it runs overnight, wake up its done. Get some coffee, tell it to restore to the PS4 Pro, work and come back and it's done.

Then once it is done you could format the PS4 and then also erase the 2TB hard drive.

That's the easiest way, requiring virtually zero effort but yes it will take a lot more time to do it that way.

Me? I'm lazy so I love that way even though it does take longer, LOL

There's an option to transfer data from OG to Pro directly using a Lan cable. I assume it would save time instead of uploading to the cloud just to download again or transferring twice like Odoggs suggestion.

I did that the first time but couldn't get it to work so ended up just using my drive. I think it still is going to require some time to complete though and not sure if it's a true mirror (as in it copies everything from your saves to themes to your settings) or if it's just going to copy your saves.

But yeah that is a third way you could also do it and many people do it that way.

Since I have my save files to update nightly, what would I lose if I just upload from cloud on Pro? I did that when I put a new harddrive into my PS4 and seemed fairly easy. I then just downloaded games back on when needed.

if I go that route, tomorrow I can just deactivate my PS4 and wipe it clean before selling it and then sign in with PSN name on PRO, make primary console and install games and then upload saves from cloud, right?

Just ordered ANOTHER 2tb Firecuda drive..........for the ****ing PS4 Pro I'm going to pick up this weekend.

                            God I hate this place.

Reason for 'another' drive....leaving the Firecuda in the OG PS4 for my wife to use.

QUESTION: Painfully obvious but just want to confirm. So I get my new Pro, I can go ahead and do the drive swap to the new 2tb before ever turning it on since it will be 'clean' yes? But I'll still need to use the flash drive to load the OS when I fire it up for the first time, correct?

Then, I can do the LAN data transfer process after that.

Then, I deactivate my OG as my primary, and initialize it for my wife to clean it off.

Then, go ahead and set my Pro with my profile as primary.

Do I have all that right?

I also noticed not all mine were there. I'd recommend you verify they are before relying on the cloud. Either that or backing them up to USB sure would be a nice insurance plan.
