    Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion

If I want to play PS3, PS2, or PS1 games then I'll play those systems.

I hang onto my systems for this reason

I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Wipeout always seemed cooler than it actually was. I'm not a big racing guy and I didn't like it that much. I'd much rather see a new ModNation Racer.

If you've played one you've played all of them, IMO. Had more fun with all the Ridge Racer rehashes.

A ModNation Racer sequel would make me very happy, totally forgot about that game. Great call!

That's fine but Sony needs to stop with the "people don't want to play those games" crap. Just once I would love for somebody who is interviewing them to follow up with a question asking how many hours of PS3 games people have streamed using psnow.

              Nostalgia is overrated.

I personally couldn't care less if they ever include bc.

I likely won't play games that have sequels and such, but ESPN NFL 2K5 doesn't have an NFL update. Neither does MLB Power Pros in the PS2 era.

I really only have a few games I would need it for, but every game counts. I would also get to use the PS4 controller, which is a plus. Being able to do Vita Remote Play would be an awesome touch as well.

Just curious if they are really worth the investment. I wish the PS4 had the equivalent of the XBOX Elite controller.
They are a bit over priced, but I love Scuf's, especially the new Scuf Impact, which is like a love child between the DS4 and Xbox controllers. Just the weight and grip alone make them solid choices, then you had in the extra inputs for FPS's. If you can swing one, they are worth it.

                    Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion

In fairness, PS Now sucks. It runs like crap and the lag is horrible and that's with a 100MB per second download. PS Now is Backwards Compatibility and when you think about it, between this and re-mastered versions of last gen games, why would they give you backwards compatibility for free?

Microsoft is losing 60M to 30M so they're trying to do all the best consumer friendly moves that they can especially since the stigma of four years ago amazingly still exists.

There's a lot more exclusives, Japanese games, niche titles, indies, psn games and simply a lot more variety on PS4 which definitely adds to why people play backwards compatible games on Xbox One. It's because they don't have anything that they want to play on their current console. Second reason would be because they never played the game to begin with.

Personally, while backwards compatibility is a great added bonus, I prefer consoles to NOT be backwards compatible for one main reason - I don't want money, time and resources being used on getting those old games to run on their current generation console as opposed to working on a game for the current generation of consoles. If it's available, great but if not, no biggie for me.

                    To each their own though.

On PS2, I used it for PS1 a lot. I can't speak for later consoles, because none of the ones I got were ever BC.

Before Rock Band 4, I was really bummed that I couldn't play the RB games on my PS4. I mean I think it counts and matters.

Imagine if they didn't make another Rocket League game on PS5. I think most people would still have the itch to play that one forever.

Lots of reaching/exaggerating going on here. Your first paragraph is just wrong and your second one doesn't make sense. Developers are not the ones handling Xbox backwards compatibility. They have a separate team of engineers doing it. Any argument trying to make backwards comp into a negative is silly imo. Especially the one making it sound like Microsoft is only doing it because they sold less consoles. The numbers are there. People enjoy being able to play their whole library on one console. It was a highly requested feature that they did a great job getting together. Best part is if you don't like it.....don't use it.

Thanks for the reply man. I picked up the Collective Minds Strike Pack for $40 to try out the paddle style and it definitely makes a difference despite being completely foreign. I was looking at the Impact so it's good to hear positive feedback.
