    Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion

Just getting a feel here from OSers regarding 'Left Alive', due to release in the US March 5th. Is this is on anybody's radar? A shooter/stealth game announced at the TGS 2017, the game is developed and published by Square Enix for the PS4 and Microsoft Windows.

Here's a gameplay trailer for anyone wondering. Kind of looks like a poor man's Metal Gear.

Left Alive is on my games list but it's 50/50 as im waiting on reviews and impressions. Game looks bad to me, gameplay seems very outdated and it being $60 in a month with DMC 5, The Division 2 and Sekiro isn't a good combination. Game did go gold a few days ago. Just waiting on reviews and whatnot.

Left Alive has been on my radar but I won't pick it up on release day. With so many games backlogged as it is now, I'll wait until that game hits the discount bin before picking up.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Congratulations to Sony and Guerrilla Games for hitting the 10M copies sold mark. Horizon Zero Dawn was not only an amazing game but also, my 2017 game of the year.

I never heard of this un till this year but it sounds like this event they only show games for the current year so I think they will all be 2019 games not 2020.

They showed all the same games last year. LOL. And if by chance im wrong on that, doesn't change the fact that there's not a chance in hell that all three games are releasing this year. Just no way.

Did they really? I heard its only for retailers for games for the current year and yeah we still dont known release dates for any of the 3 but I think all 3 are comming this year and then ps5 in early 2020 will come out.

Pretty sure. It's also for third party publishers as well. Disagree with all three in 2019 and PS5 in early 2020. Just don't see it happening.

I tried finding stuff about it from last year but couldn't find any thing for it. Because its such a small thing this was the first time I had heard of it and it was hard to find like any other year stuff. But we will see I think we will get are first look at ps5 in the next few months and then more at PlayStation experience and that it will come out around march like the switch did in 2017.

There's no guarantee that Sony will even hold a PSX this year. My guess is only Tokyo Game Show and that's it. Don't see PS5 being announced and revealed until February 2020 at the earliest. E3 2020 blowout. November 2020 release.

No reason for Sony to rush out their exclusives especially when all four would be released in only 8 months. Just no way. Sony has no reason whatsoever to fast forward the rest of this generation.

Also and more importantly, the chipsets and dev kits aren't even finalized yet. The longer until release, the better (and cheaper) the specs will be for Sony and for us.

Plus a little side note, Ubisoft's next AC game which will most likely be in Rome is going to be the same as Black Flag, a cross-gen game in the Fall of 2020.

PlayStation experience may not happend again but I really dont see that happing and I really dont see only Tokyo game show being the only thing they do all year that would really not look good for Sony and Tokyo game show has really declined a lot the last few years to the point where really its basically pointless. We dont known if chipsets and dev kits are finalized or not and there have been a lot of rumors that ps5 was going to be late 2019 but may have gotten pushed back to early 2020. Also rumors that Watch dogs 3 is comming late this year for next gen meaning ps5 or next xbox system and I think its more likely we will get ps5 before the next xbox considering pro came out a year before the x. Check that sounds like Watch dogs 3 may be comming late this year to ps4 not ps5 but we will see I known a lot of rumors is the only news we have nothing for sure yet.

TGS has been pretty good to be honest. I'm not the biggest fan of Japanese games but some real good ones have been shown there. PlayStation 5 was NEVER going to be 2019 once it was confirmed that Sony was skipping E3 because well, why release a console yet you're skipping the biggest show of the year? That would have made zero sense for Sony.

Watch Dogs 3 is current gen only and is set for October/November this year as it's Ubisoft's big fall game since AC is taking a year off again. Granted, you could see a port of Watch Dogs 3 for next gen but I doubt it. Especially if the game bombs sales wise like Watch Dogs 2 did. We'll see though.

This week is huge as Tuesday is PS4/PC console exclusive Left Alive from Square Enix even though it's not looking good as of right now based on reports from Japan as the game was released there last Thursday but Wednesday is a new round of previews for Days Gone which im super hyped for. 30 hour story campaign. 6 hours of cut-scenes which im assuming is the entire game, not just for the story. Thursday is Sony's China Hero Project which will be showing off seven games if I remember correctly. I'm most anxious to see Lost Soul Aside.

While it may seem like Sony is quiet, they're not. They're doing what they have done for years - letting the games do the talking for them.
