Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
It's something to look forward to, but it'll definitely have issues. For one, I doubt it'll be in HD, and even if you try and stream something now to youtube etc., there is lag. That's what would concern me. I don't know that homes have such high bandwidth to pull this off, not to mention data caps., as others have pointed out.Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Well, the Playstation 3 did originally have two HDMI ports, three Ethernet ports (!?) and six USB ports when it was announced, lol.
I don't see much of this being a problem for those with bandwidth and whatnot. We'll see if anything changes, more interested in the seemingly inevitable cost of the subscription service that will enable it.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I know this hasn't been mentioned in any of the info, but you could possibly need the game to view someone else playing. That way the full rendering wouldn't have to be uploaded/downloaded. The game could do the rendering just like a multiplier game and just add the chat option on top of that.
It would be much more difficult to feed information from a game and have another game display it exactly IMO. All the on-the-fly things that happen would lead to an imprecise or potentially clumsy representation.Comment

All the game recording could potentially curtail some of the blatant cheating and glitching in some of these FPS multiplayer games. Now, I royally suck at these games, so I think everyone's cheating. Could you imagine downloading a 4K movie with PSN's awful download speeds now? It wouldn't be fully downloaded until the PS5 comes out.Ryan Spencer

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Looks like quite a few already. Killzone, InFamous, Battlefield, Call of Duty, Madden (I'm sure), NBA (possibly), Destiny, Diablo 3, and I may be missing a few. Looks like they should have quite a few games on launch. I think Sony realized with the Vita how support can really take a toll on sales. If the Vita had more support from devs they would sell a lot of units. The PS4 needs support at launch to sell, like you said.
I think Destiny could be the 'it' game that gets a lot of people to jump in.
I'd like to wait at least a year from launch before I make the plunge, but if they can showcase a mind-blowing IP, I might bite sooner.
I kind of hope that one of these new consoles really jumps out as being significantly better than the other.
I really don't care which one does, all I know is, I don't want to buy both again, haha.
Right now, with the PS4 allowing for used games and possibly being b/c, I'm leaning towards the PS4.
But chances are, both will be solid consoles that have a handful of exclusive titles that will force some to buy both.Comment
