Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Wow, the PS4 is really killing it in about every single poll there is. The IGN YouTube vote is like 42,000-14,000 favoring the PS4. GameSpots poll was like 85% PS4. I wasn't that aware the majority of the gaming communities are that lopsided. To be honest, I love it.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Ok $ collection started.
Just need to see E3 etc.. and determine if I'll have both or 1 at their launches. Pretty pumped for E3.
Been thinking a lot lately about games and my current "play only list"
Sports games obviously and after that I prefer the off the mainstream games.
I like puzzle games, games with a good story, horror survival etc..
I really could care less any longer about the traditional FPS games as they've been pretty weak SP wise and I don't play them online at all really.
With that said I really think the PS4 will probably be the system to give me the most of what i want. This past gen the XBOX really has been the FPS box which as the gen got late I found my play time less and less.
Am I wrong in my thinking that the PS4 has the more likelihood of delivering the kind of diversity I am looking for??..
Guess I'll see what the new Ip's are for MS also
(I know this is the PS4 thread but trust I'll get honest answers.)Last edited by Skyboxer; 05-27-2013, 04:12 AM.Joshua:

PS3 absolutely destroys the 360 in terms of quality games from differing genres.
The biggest 360 exclusives are Gears of War, Halo and Forza.
Obviously Gears and Halo destroy Killzone. Forza and GT come to a wash...
PS3 has Uncharted, some of the Metal Gear series, God of War, Twisted Metal and in general (I'm obviously leaving out some good games) the better variance of quality first party games. More varied genres.
360 is basically built for college brogamers, with their line up of huge hits. Its all call of duty, EASports games and the FPS exclusives. Anything else big on that system is multiplatform (GTA, RDR, etc.)
FPS centric players are better off sticking with XBone because I assume that will be the better system for them again this gen (if the extras somehow don't bother you.).
As for genre variety? That has been the PSX/2/3 for as long as I can remember. With the indie developers being **** on by Microsoft again (their rants on Twitter were fun to watch) I'm assuming that will stay the case, if you can find enjoyment in non AAA games - most of those are multiplatform anyways.Last edited by ubernoob; 05-27-2013, 06:05 AM.badComment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
hopefully sony smartens up and includes cross game party chat this time around...i see no way they possibly exclude this for the ps4 as it will be a huge letdown once again...if the ps3 issue was a lack of RAM, then 8GB ddr5 should be no problem to include this feature...if I am not mistaking, i believe that the OS is taking up 3GB of RAM by itself, so this OS should be pretty feature packed with stuff like party chat

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
As of now, it is PS4 for me:
Free online gaming
Offline gaming (traditional) without online requirement
Instant Demos (from cloud)
Best library of Sports games (The Show)
Less external sources of possible issues (no mandatory accesories to be connected just to use the console)
More dedicated hardware towards gaming (more RAM, etc)
Anyways, am looking forward for E3 and the next months to see if we get even more details on the consoles, it features and upcomming launch games ... also, to get to know any possible restrictions and most importantly: prices.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Since I don't play too many FPS my choice will eventually be the PS4.Comment

As my gaming choices have changed, I've shifted from 360 to PS3 and as of now I am going PS4 and maybe Xbox One down down the line.
I've been playing more solo games instead of just shooters and sports. PS3 has the better exclusives and I am sure it will be the same on PS4.Comment

For me Forza was clearly my fav as far as a sim racer.
It's not even about the exclusives. I hate the MG series and thought UC was over rated... and never played HALO or Gears after the first 2 in the series.
I do think though that the PS3 had a more mix of games so I am looking forward to see if that continues.Joshua:

FPS don't do anything for me unless it has a good and decently long SP experience.Joshua:

I've made my mind up to leave Xbox and go PS4 this holiday season. My maxed out friends list on Xbox is going to be tough to leave but I look forward to building my PS friends list with my fellow OS buddies. See you guys on the PS4 later this year!!!!

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Sony will require all games that don't make use of Move components to be remote playable on Vita.
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/di...-for-ps4-games
If it puts no added tension between developers and Sony then I see it as a positive. If it pushes developers away from having to mess with the added work then I see it as a potential issue.
Granted I don't understand exactly how the transferring of a game designed for the PS4 ported to the vita works. So I could be way off in how I'm viewing this.Comment
