Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
The first party PS3 games all looked phenomenal, but third party sports games and such tend to be a bit smoother on 360 because of the porting involved with most of them.
Difference in blu ray / hd dvd right ? I may be wrong.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I would be shocked if this isn't reversed next-gen. Both feature AMD chipsets and the PS4 has the more powerful GPU and higher-bandwidth RAM.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

That was also the case with some PS3, 360 games.

Now, it will be different. Dev friendly system with a much better RAM solution.Comment

I'm glad I don't have to deal with specs and that from competitors. I've been a ps guy since PS1 and can't wait to nab my PS4 come next March.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Sorry if wrong thread but...
Based on specs will there be any big differences in cross platform titles graphically ?

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
In the interim I anticipate buying a PS4 at launch. That could change based on launch titles and cost (anything over $500 and I'll pass).
The new XBOX had some interesting features. They are focusing more on the entire media experience, which I don't necessarily have a problem with, but I don't know if that appeals to what I specifically want. Plus it appears the XBOX cost at launch may be higher than the PS4. There is also the "pay to play a previously installed game" quandary that has yet to truly shake out, but right now it does not at all look appealing. They mentioned many exclusives and only really interesting titles may change my mind about owning an XBOX One in the future.
I still have my original Xbox and played it a lot (still do every once in a while). My first PS3 died a little over a year after I bought it (right after warranty expiration) in 2008. I never owned a 360 so I can't comment on it.Comment

This is good, but bad because my terrible completion %. Hopefully it seperates PS3 from PS4 in some way.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Not really. Over 90% of the titles released are going to be multi-platform. Out of the games I have played that will be released on both systems, it would be a hard sell to pick them apart in a blind test.
If you put random screenshots up against one another, you wouldnt be able to tell the difference between the systems at this point.
How it all pans out in the long run will be up to the Sony and MSFT first party teams where they can actually put out content that wont be on the other systems.
Both systems will be a winner in my book, no matter which side you choose.Comment
