I liked the 360 and made many friends as its online is filled with many more users, maybe twice or triple the amount ... up until I suffered the dreaded RROD, less than a year of its adcquisition ... since I live on DR, I went to MS office here and they refused to make a call to their own customer service, which costed me more than US$10 in phone calls to their so called free number (here nothing is free, maybe for US) ... then, I had to ship the system to US with a currier (paying around US$200 due to the MS box, ship fee, plus taxes), as the DR office also refuesd to accept it and send it to any of their US offices ... had to wait 3 weeks to receive the system back, a new one, just to see it suffer again a month after ... given what it costed me to get it attended by MS, I decided to get it fix here by a (non related MS) technician, costing me US$50 to have it repair, to once again, have it had a RROD just 6 months later (3rd).

Thats when I had enough and bought a PS3. I love that with it you can connect online and have access to an explorer and to see any websites such as my ESPN fantasy leagues, anime sites and of course, OS ... have also made many friends, even tho there are much fewer users. Then again, since 2 months ago the system started to turn off without any imput and is now currently with a technician (again, unrelated to PS) and seems that I would pay around US$50.

Right now, I am leaning towards the PS4 but I will ultimately base my decission after E3 and close to hollydays, once I get more details of both systems and specially, on the games that will be offered at launch.
Yikes... That's some bad luck . Hopefully you get a ps4 (2k online cough cough )

That "teaser" was pretty blah. They should have released what the system looks like by now. Blurring it and showing various angles of the console seems to be an odd approach.
Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.

MS's conference does not affect my decision in the slightest because I had no intention of jumping ship.

                      Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion

Had the OG version of PS3 that was still kicking although didn't play too much lately since being married, only occasional games when I can get the TV for a few hours - Got a Vita, and play a little bit more on it.

Thinking about Xbox One going into the reveal since a lot of guys I know have the XBOX now; however, i've almost put that notion to rest and likely definitely going for PS4 after Xbox's reveal.

Voice and gesture activated remote controls don't really inspire me when all I want to do is play games when I get the chance. The split screen stuff doesn't really impress as I can watch movies and get score updates/etc on my phone, without taking up part of the screen we're watching a movie on. So with that said - my wife is likely going to get the TV more times than not and she's not going to worry about all the fluff of being connected nor is the gestures or voice going to impress her compared to the remote we already have. No points there so while she watches Real Housewives, playing a PS4 game on my Vita via remote play seems to make a lot more sense for me as a whole when shelling out the money for a gaming console.

My thoughts exactly. Glad to see im not the only one who's wife watches "The Real Houswives of _______" Having the ability to play PS4 games on the vita via remote play along with the Show, makes the PS4 a must buy for me over the Xbox one. Xbox one has cool features but the majority of them I can't really see myself using at this point. Not to say that I wont get an xbox one for myself eventually but not right away.

Although, my son is an Xbox junky and huge live fan, I may eventually buy him one around xmas time (....if he behaves of course )

That's my most anticipated/interesting feature that I got from both reveals. This is the one feature I can see myself using. Being able to access/play the ps4 via wifi would be amazing. Now, will it be as advertised ? Thats the question.

PS: No I do not own a vita either.

Will always be a Sony first guy.

Microsoft continues to be meh to me in just about every aspect. Computers, gaming etc.

The giant DVR they just unveiled did absolutely nothing for me (not that I ever intended to switch) nor did any of the "exclusive" announcements they made.

While I liked the ONE presentation and its features, I am still leaning to buy the PS4 ... most of the XBOX features wont probably function on a 3rd world country such as mine ... also, given my past experience (3 RROD), I can but feel frightened of how this new console will handle such increased power and how it will handle all those multiple stuff ...

After the ONE presentation, I also had the feeling (more of a hope) that the PS4 would be priced bellow, given how it is marketed as a more specialized gaming console.

Here is to hope for even more detailed info, comparisions and better, for a reasonable price and a great array of launch games.
