Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
They sent me back a pretty generic response and didn't answer my question about the Launch Console:
SpoilerHello,
I do understand your concern.
If you pay with a credit card and the item you order is sold by Amazon.com or one of our Merchant partners, we won't charge you until the order enters the shipping process.
Since your order is a preorder, we'll only charge your credit card, once your order entered shipping process.
Also, We'll send you an e-mail when your order is shipped with your tracking number. Your order could ship any time between now and right before the estimated delivery date.
You can always check the status of your order in Your Account. Here's a direct link to the order details:
If you've any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact us back. We'll be happy to help you!
Thank you for your patience and understanding. We appreciate your business and hope that we will see you again soon at Amazon.com.
Honestly, I'm not even that upset. The only reason I chose Amazon first was because I only want to get one of the new console's at release and I haven't made a decision yet. I didn't want to come out of pocket for one until I was sure. Oh well, I'm just going to pre-order through Wal Mart and pay for it today. If I decide on getting the XB1 instead, then I'll just get a refund from Wal Mart.My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Sony is considering bundling the Vita with the PS4 for $500, which would be an incredible deal. Especially if you already own PS+ or will be getting it for the PS4.
It would also possibly lead to Sony advertising a theoretical PS4/Vita bundle as "Two systems for the price of One."Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Does the Vita have any good games? I haven't played a handheld in years, but at that pricepoint I'd definitely be tempted to get one. I owe about $50 on my PS4 now. I just have to finish deciding on the games I'm getting.Comment

Depends on what you play, but I've owned about 20 games and at least ten of them I've accumulated dozens of hours with.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
That's a little too cheap to believe unfortunately, but would indeed be a great value if remote play works out as well many of us hope it will.
There's the whole memory card prices thing too. This is basically why I bought my Vita as a PS4 accessory and little else.
Still hoping that if they take a route like this that they re-launch the Vita with a version that has feature parity with the Dual Shock 4. Dump the back touch panel, add another set of bumpers, clickable thumb sticks. Come w/ a clamshell case or something so they're not getting pressed all the time or something. Make remote play compatibility a given with no need for re-translating controls.
If they can afford to drop the Vita price by $75+ at Gamescom or something then I see this being a lot more plausible. Just feel like they'd expect to subsidize it with memory card pricing unfortunately and not fix that situation.Comment

I like what you're saying...the lack of the additional bumpers makes me worry a bit about remote play.
If it was bundled like that though, that would be pretty smart....very tempting to get both.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
If they do it, Amazon needs to let me upgrade my current bundle. I was wondering why we never saw any of these bundles with the remote play function being pushed. This would keep people always playing and potentially get them to buy more Vita games although there don't seem to be a lot.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I'll re-think the VITA when it has it's own identity and not primarily a cross play system.
Loved the machine just the lack of games created specifically for the VITA (that I liked) was a major turnoff.
I could care less about cross play.Joshua:

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
So is there anything other than remote play in store for the Vita with the PS4? And how flushed out is this remote play thing, will I be able to play any game on my PS4 through the Vita? I haven't touched my Vita in months, March to be exact, and really have no plans to. Just wondering if somehow the PS4 will save it, although playing a PS4 through the Vita doesn't do much for me either.
