If it weren't for Halo 5 and Forza I'd get the PS4, but those two titles, especially Halo 5 are what makes me keep coming back to Xbox.

Although I won't lie I have thought about that $100 less pricetag that the PS4 has, but I know I'll regret it once H5 comes out.

Actually I think it's very possible and that to me is the only way of getting a PS4 or XB1 without preordering. Most stores will have more consoles than they have preorders so a lot of people should be able to get a non preorder one.

I think that depends on where you live. I have 4 GS within 5 miles of each other and all have said they aren't expecting more consoles then that were PO.

Without the suspend/resume feature being available at launch, does that mean no in game saves?

Specially wondering about the sports games that are launching, as with the exception of NBA 2K franchise mode, no one else had in game saves built in.

Anyone think picking up a PS4 on launch night in person at a store is feasible?

I don't live in a very big town and I was thinking of going to Wal Mart and camping out and hopefully nabbing one...f'd up big time by just not pre-ordering.

The only way you'll be able to get one at this point is by camping outside a bestbuy or other store at least 8 hours before they open since many people will be trying to get one as well just like you..

Yea everything I have heard gamestop won't have any extra consoles(this is all where I live) and stores like target and walmart according to their own electronics departments, if they have any extra it will be 20 at most but probably closer to 5.

I mean for my system I preordered at GameStop when it was announced then moved an hour and a half away about 2 months ago. GameStop told me that if I want a launch console to keep it there as they couldn't transfer it to where I live now because they had none left. So I will be driving 2 1/2 hours round trip for my system as that is how high in demand they are with just preorders.

That's not what the suspend/resume feature was. It's up to developers if they include a mid game save feature.

Suspend/resume was more like you turn off the console and the next time you turn it on, it'll be right where you left it.

I think a lot of those games are the indie games that have sided with the PS4 due to its stance on self-publishing and development. It's clear there is going to be a lot of content for the PS4, I only hope there isn't a ton of shovel ware (but I imagine there will be). Its strength may end up being its curse in a way.

A lot of them are indie games. That doesn't mean that's a bad thing in any way. I mean, going down the list for both consoles... I don't see any titles worth buying a system for yet - but I see plenty of games I would play on the PS4 side if I happened to have one, with one or two on the XBone side (namely Forza.)

I've lost interest in the Halo series because Halo 4 was a terrible game, especially online, and everyone knew it (player counts dropped rapidly because it just wasn't fun). A lot of people bought the game and subsequently decided it sucked, then stopped playing it.

343 stripped half the amazing and fun features from Halo's multiplayer (including several game modes which have been a staple of the series since Halo 1) with a "you'll play it our way, and like it, trust us." attitude, while leaving no option to return to old settings, or even play custom game versions of older modes like Assault or One-Flag. They dropped the playlists from the usual contingent of about 20-25 to 11 as a strict cap. It took them nearly a YEAR to add objective modes to Big Team Battle. Let's not forget the bit where one of the devs said the reason they stripped all the fun modes was because "they don't fit with the fiction we created around the multiplayer." The fiction being a three minute cutscene about SERIOUS MILITARY SIMULATION TRAINING EXERCISES instead of spacemans v. spacemans and an angry lady explaining how you used your CoD-inspired unlock points to unlock new loadouts and armors as you leveled up.

Letting people start with certain guns instead of running to find them on the map, which was half the fun of the multiplayer in Halo, was a terrible design choice by 343. It completely removed the battle for map control to hold power weapons and vehicles became near useless as everyone could choose to start with (and did) plasma pistol and sticky grenades.

The Rank system from Halo 3 (which was a reflection of your TrueSkill rating) that fluctuated from 0-50, depending on how good you were, got replaced with a standard COD-like grind to max level. So, rather than having an easy way to track your skill improvement and a comparison to other players ability, you just get 'who's played the most games' which isn't really useful as a metric to measure skill.

I also didn't like the UI changes they added, like hit indicators and grenade indicators. Going back to Halo 3 and not having that adds a lot to gameplay, since you couldn't tell if the guy hiding around the corner got hit by your grenade and is weakened, and not having him get a big flashing indicator on his screen that a grenade has been thrown nearby means if hes wasn't paying attention the grenade would damage/kill them.

They also splintered the gametype playlists, including removing crowd favorites one bomb/flag and gimmicks such as rocket race in favor of having gametype-specific lists (rather than a single playlist for objective games, they had CTF, Domination, and others all separate) and made constant changes to the list of available gametypes. When your playerbase is already dwindling, it's probably not best practice to further split them into smaller groups with such a granular list of playlists.

The matchmaking was also really bad in Halo 4, they tried to add JIP to a game whose code they didn't fully understand. The fact that Halo 3 has a bigger playerbase than Halo 4 is pretty telling that people weren't happy with the changes. Halo 3 is much more rewarding to play with a team of friends who all communicate well.

I'm obviously a huge Halo fan. I used to play at least a couple games of Reach every night, and played what could easily have been called an unhealthy amount of Halo 3 for someone who couldn't begin to be considered a "pro-gamer," and I haven't touched Halo 4 in months. It had its good points, but they were vastly outweighed by the bad. I couldn't be less hyped for Halo: Capes Explained, whereas if Halo 4 was at least as good as Reach, Mister Chef's Desert Adventure might have sold me an xbone. I think Destiny has a pretty healthy chance of crushing Halo 5 if there's a bunch of folks like me. It also gets bonus points for being available on both consoles.

OK, thanks for the reply. Hope it comes soon after launch, as it would greatly benefit my lack of gaming time, and worrying if I have enough time or desire to start a game.

Im not trying to be a D but they might have like 1-20 consoles at most places..
i know some gamestop that will have maybe 3
