I had already mentioned how in MyPlayer I got a technical foul for actually curising during a play where there was a no call for a foul I thought I should have gotten.

Well last night I was in party chat with Jeremym480 while we were both playing NBA2K14. I switched over to MyPlayer and every so often after so many games you get to run a practice with your team. I was drafted by the Hawks and we were running practice in our practice gym and then something happened & I'm not sure if this is in old gen buy it kinda blew me away.

I hard fouled Elton Brand by trying to get around him when he was setting a hard screen. He went to the ground and got up pissed, in game in real time it went to a scene where he was talking to me with his voice and myplayer was responding and they started going back & forth jawing at each other right on the court!

The head coach jumped in and started talking to me and asked me what that hard foul was all about and I had 10 seconds to give one of two answers.

Dunno if this is another little easter egg like the getting a T for actually cursing, but damn this is the most fun hoops games I've ever played.

I remember saying "WTF, whoa" when it happened then describing it to jeremym480 and he was asking me if it was a sequenced/scripted event. I really don't know because it happened at a random time during the game and only after I had ran through the screen hard and knocked Brand to the ground.

Amazing.

it's not. I got drafted by the hawks too. Its a scripted event. I didn't even foul him. I was kinda in his general vicinity and my guy fouls him. Lol elton brand isn't a douche guy like that. So its weird seeing him do that lol

I said sh** and I got a tech. I was on the mic talking to my cousin and they gave me a tech. Even if you don't curse, I don't advise putting on the mic. Kevin Harlan was talking and my mic picked it up..and thought it was a curse word and I got a tech.

Its ironic how 2k can pick up curse words clear, but my voice commands for the ps4, i almost have to scream lol.

I went into the NBA Live forum to get information about the game. What a mistake. Apparently you can't like anything about live without someone ripping you to shreds for it. What a terrible, terrible place.

If you enjoy NBA 2k and want to keep enjoying it I'd advise you all to avoid the NBA 2k forum. I understand the modes aren't exactly deep (haven't set up MyGM yet), but the game itself plays superb to me. I haven't messed with sliders or any of those settings and I've been enjoying it a lot. Heck, I'm even losing gracefully which has never really happened with a sports game and still enjoying the games.

Right now I've been focusing on dribbling and on-ball defense. Learning the moves with the stick is and will be satisfying once I master some nice combos. To me, its nice to slow myself down and think about context because that's key. The move list is pretty intuitive so rather than memorizing a set list of moves I think it will benefit me more to just think and play.
