It's just between the online connection issues I'm having, which also make the XMB run slow, NBA 2K being frustrating (play calling not always working, the way the CPU plays at time with every defensive player playing tight on and off the ball, etc), and Madden not having much a "wow" factor or feeling like a true next-gen leap, I'm just feeling disappointed right now and wondering why I'm wasting my time being annoyed and frustrated when a couple of weeks ago I was having a great time playing GTA V, Batman: Arkham Origins and Madden 25 OS Vets.
Can't say current gen didn't end with some great games like what you named, GTA was my last one and I'd still play it today but I think when it comes out on nex gen im going to buy it again and play it.

That said, im not sure why you keep having conection issues...did you try to use hard wiring the system to your router?

2k, lol yeah its tough man but you have to make a ton of adjusments in that game, but people said they wanted a different game and they got it.

Once those other games come in the spring which is what alot of us were waiting on we'll start to see the 1st year games making a mark. I do think what we have is good though to jusify going nex gen and I was quite honestly bored with current gen til GTA came out.

I know the PSN errors were a PITA, it took days for that to resolve on my end.

Yeah I might've been signed off a couple of time while playing some single player games but nothing that has been a problem much. Of course my hardwiring the router gets my downloads to finish faster but thats about it.

Been meaning to finish BF4 SP until I can get the controls then jump online but I heard they had issues at Dice.

People keep thinking GTA V is going to re-release on the new systems but I really don't see it happening. It'd be a waste of time when they could be working on the next version instead.

As for hard wiring my connection, it's hard to do when my PS4 is upstairs and the router is downstairs.

It's coming to PC, and hence should be pretty easy to port over the next gen consoles.

I don't disagree but its just something I remember being said. Doesn't matter still because I beat the game and traded it in although I didnt erase it off of my PS3, I pretty much did everything I could with it besides mess around just because.

Your issue could def. be some kind of wifi issue.. I couldn't even get the 2k roster update to come through until I hardwired it first for some reason, which is about 25 feet away from my PS3

Same here. I use it a whole lot... Got it last year for $12 for a year's subscription (thru PS+). My subscription was due to expire on Wednesday, and I received an email to extend it 3 months at $1 per. I may even keep it and pay the $9 fee after that. They have a lot of music you wouldn't expect.

I was having connection issues and slow as molasses download speeds until I hard-wired the PS4 to my router.

I think WiFi connectivity as a whole is struggling with PS4. It still works great on PS3 though, which is weird because it's connecting to the same network. I'm sure it'll get ironed out soon BNG.

Are there other owners that are connected via WiFi? How has your online experience been?

I think it's only natural to want what you don't have. I know I've been browsing the X1 discussion thread, and while it would be wonderful to have both consoles, for me it doesn't make financial sense at this time. Nor do I find any of the X1 titles to be must haves. Even Titanfall doesn't do much for me.....crazy I know. What attracts me to the X1 is the tv integration, but you can't DVR and I think speaking to the Xbox over time will get tiring over time.

Many of us are one week out owning the PS4, so it's only natural to be a little envious of the new shiny toy. I know I am, but I'm also being much more practical this time around. At one time, I'll purchase the X1...when there is a nice price drop.

In the end, it all comes down to the games. Early adopters run the risk of getting frustrated as they're wanting more and more games. But if you're patient, we're going to be rewarded with games like The Show (which in my mind is a system seller), Uncharted 4, gotta imagine another stellar Naughty Dog Title, presumably Hots Shots Golf, Jak and Daxter, Little Big Planet, etc. etc. etc.

Yeah, I agree. I have to have faith in the PS4 hardware. It is the reason why I choose PS4. I think down the line games will take full advantage of what the PS4 can do. Bottom line is talking to my xbox doesn't seem that appealing to me and I don't have a TV connection to plug into the One anyway. I am a butt ugly dude and don't want to see myself on the kinect, lol. Above all, my PS4 launch system has been glitch free and I am really enjoying it.

The only thing Id rather have is the controller maybe, but the games and tv integration don't do anything for me.

This worked for me too today. I couldn't believe it.

I moved rooms at school. Hooked my PS4 up and it wouldn't sign in to PSN. Kept getting an error message. I was ready to kill something. Then I thought "I wonder what happens if I just go to the store." and sure enough, it signed me in.

I hear ya Pete on the controller, but that of course comes down to personal preference. Yes, i definitely preferred the 360 controller to the PS3 controller, but I really think at least for me the field is now even. Also, while I thoroughly enjoyed the 360 controller, I did find my hands to be tired after an hour's or two gaming session. I have not noticed that at all with the DS4 controller, which is a good sign.

I really hope they start announcing some more games for next gen soon.

I'm loving AC IV, but I'm gonna need a break from it soon enough and FPS's only do so much for me, especially when that's essentially all that's on the market at this point.

So far I only know of Thief, Witcher 3, Dragon Age, Uncharted, Watch Dogs, Infamous, coming out at some point in 2014, has anyone been hearing anything else? I know it could be a lot worse, but I hope it hasn't come to AAA retread or Indie being our only options for gaming, I'd love some new franchises to spring up, not just rehashing of what we've spent the past decade enjoying.
