    Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion

Haven't played Contrast since launch day.

It's okay. Good for a non AAA title, but I have a hard time spending gaming time on games with clunky controls.

The story seems rich and interesting. I'll likely dive back in at some point just to finish it.

And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

If anyone has a spare Square Trade coupon, please shoot me a PM. I signed up for their newsletter, but they haven't sent me anything.

I didn't really think the controls were clunky. Dawn would get caught up on some environmental objects like Pappy says, but I never felt the controls themselves hindered the gameplay.

Its a short game, but I think the style, gameplay premise, and the story (though the ending left a little bit to be desired) were great.

I've read this. Haven't really experienced this since I have two DS4s and the charge dock.

Jonesing for Escape Plan. It looks fun as hell.

Tiny Brains is releasing and will have a demo that I want to try.

My advice like SoMiss says is to get the charging docking station and always leave them on there after playing. I was reading, the light in the DS4 is powered by LED so they are not using that much power. It either has to be the battery that they are using or something else is draining it a lot. I love the controller design/layout, but the battery life is horrible. It has to be the worst in battery life history for a controller. I guess in some ways MSFT was smart to still go with battery packs/batteries even if it adds extra weight to the controller.

I even use the controller for my PC too and it works great. I've encountered one game where it doesn't work so far, that is State of Decay. I had to unplug the 360 controller/receiver from my kids PC to use it on State. It's a real bummer. I hope that Sony releases official drivers for the DS4 on the PC. If they do not, it goes to show this company is still lacking in several areas and they do not want to make money. I think they would sell a ton more controllers for the PC market too. Hell, they should do the same for the PS3 and allow the DS4 to work on there wireless instead of using a cable hooked up at all times. I bet there are a ton of people that would buy PS4 controllers to use on the PS3 and once they are ready to jump to PS4, voila they have the controllers. It's hard going back to the DS3 if I play the PS3, I just plug in the DS4.

Any word when the Store is going to add the "Demo" section? I am still wondering this.

Just looked at some gameplay on youtube. Escape Plan looks rather awesome, but Tiny Brains looks to be a blast in co-op. I might end up with both.

like you guys im looking for a headset. I dont really play online gaming anymore, except occasionally with my brother who live out of state. But Im looking more towards surround sounds that will not wake up my family when im playing on the wee hours of the night

I cannot justify spending over $100 for a headset. Thanks guys for the suggestions... hoping there will be some Christmas deals regarding headsets.

regarding Contrast.... i really like the game, havent finished it yet....im now in the circus and doing the story of the princess rescuing her prince

You dont even need a charging dock. I use a long micro usb cord and it does the trick.
