I think that it is an absolute waste of money to put a big expensive SSD drive into your PS4 to shave 1 minute or less off of your load times... Especially when you can get a normal 1TB or 1.5TB hard drive for less than $70.

What information from my PS4 will I need when I call Squaretrade? I plan on calling tomorrow at work for the accidental warranty, but not sure what all they will ask.

Also is it the $350-$399 accidental plan on the $400-$449 plan?

YMMV ofcourse, but when I called they didn't even want my console serial number. All they wanted was my CC info to charge me for the $399 warranty. Also, take a picture of your receipt if you have it now, so that you can email it to them when they send you the follow-up email. They do require that to "activate" your warranty.

TO be safe though I would go ahead and write down the console serial number and take a picture of the receipt. Have you CC/Debit card info ready. They should mention a phone special with 30-35% off but if they don't, ask about any current specials. That's all you should need.

It was my first time using Squaretrade and it seriously couldn't have been easier. Had the whole thing done in 10 minutes and that's counting listening to their sales pitch. I got the 3 year warranty with ADH for $51.99.

No. I got one of my PS4's from walmart and the other from target, and my XBone from best buy and all 3 have squaretrade warranties. I did have to submit proof of purchase (the receipts) online.

Only if you try to buy the square trade warranty through Amazon does it need to be an Amazon purchase. If you did not buy it from Amazon just get the warranty through Square Trade directly.

Just bought the 3 year accidentally sony warranty and used my $10 off coupon, all set now. Does this kick in after the first year sony already gives you is over ? So is it 4 years total?

heads up fellows sony came out with a new system update today. version 1.52. i got to get my sony warranty i couldnt get best buy warranty cuz i didnt get pay and i think im over my days. i should of gotten it the day of when i got ps4 instead of an extra controller
