Mainly due to Madden has a ton of things (little nuances and much needed gameplay improvements as well as options etc..) that they have still failed to add.
The Show has always added and improved each year for the most part.
IMO comparing anything with Madden and The Show is like comparing a Yugo to a Corvette.
OK a Yugo may be a tad harsh but the main point is the overall quality of the 2 are night and day when compared to each other, IMO.

Overall quality, yeah, there's no question The Show is way ahead. It's ahead in terms of graphics, too. I wasn't trying to criticize MLB - I love the series to death.

I think they each took about the same step in terms of graphics from the PS3 to the PS4. Each was improved, neither was a huge leap ahead of its PS3 counterpart. I'd say NBA 2K had a more impressive debut - graphically - than either Madden or MLB on the PS4. Part of that being that MLB was already pretty dang impressive on the PS3. Madden, and to a lesser degree 2K, had further to go.

I've thoroughly enjoyed Madden on the PS4. I have no doubt I'm going to enjoy the heck out of MLB too.

Before I call Sony I just wanted to see if anyone has experienced an issue I'm having and might know how to fix it.

For the second time in 2 nights I've had to unplug my system because its not showing that there is a disc in it and the game won't start. I pretty much can't do anything with it. It won't turn off or go into standby either. I just get the circle on the screen. The Show froze on me earlier in replay mode. I couldnt still do the replay, but couldn't get back to the game.

Anyone see anything like this before?

It said there was no disc in there once so far with MLB The Show yesterday after I came out of stand by mode. But I was able to eject the disc by pressing the eject button on the console itself. Put it back in and everything was fine.

i know this might be in a wrong forum...but heck i'll try it.... (coz in MLB forum...there's so many threads). Im a casual baseball fan....from xbox/360 so no experience at all with MLB. Last time I played MLB was in SNES...lol...guess u'll have how old i am. Anyhow...any recommendation about sliders? tips? thanks.

Use Dynamic difficulty levels. It starts you off on beginner and the difficulty elevates as you get better over time. I can tell you from firsthand experience, it works. I'm 1000x better then I was the first time I popped the game in.

thanks....this level is fantastic...it builds based on your rating....im not having issues in pitching....but somehow in my batting...horrendous...lol....always early or very early.

when do you use contact, normal, power in batting?

I rarely use power swing. When I do it's usually when I'm up in the game and have a favorable count like 3-0 or 3-1
Contact I use when I'm down in the count 1-2, 0-2
The rest is normal swing.

I always go normal hitting. Haven't had any issues powering the ball on veteran hitting so far.

I might try dynamic to see if I like the changes in difficulty, but always felt the game plays better on everything veteran.

Having a blast so don't really want to change anything.
