Recording does work but it's a pain to understand how it works. Once you know, it's easy.

Basically, if you start a new recording point at any time, you immediately delete the last 15 minutes of recorded footage.

Absolutely be sure you know how you have the share button set. When you want to save the past 15 minutes, go to the share settings and you'll see a prompt to save the video file.

Do anything different like take a screen shot or press start recording point and you're done. It will disappear.

I don't know man. The recording acts funny for me. Sometimes it has the last 15 minutes and other times it just shows a clip that was previously saved. I have it set where a short click brings up the menu, double click starts recording from that point, and a long click takes a screen shot.

This is not directly a PS4 post, but I didn't want to start a new thread (it's a risky business)...

Do you guys remember when the last (previous) gen was released how "Next Geneartion this" and "Next Generation that" was flying all over and appeared on the back of boxes etc.. Doesn't seem like it's used like that anymore.

Would you consider something like that on the back of the box - being silly these days? Are we now too...'mature' for that? What have changed? Thoughts?

I don't think the graphical jump was big enough to warrant that being used this gen.

I shouldn't say that. But what I've found works all the time for me is hitting share and opening the share menu. You get a screen shot automatically and the last 15 minutes.

So I usually avoid the long press especially since I've found myself tending to double press share instead. And once you double press, you've lost your last 15 minutes.

I had this same problem until I changed my settings back and forth. I don't know why, but I felt as if maybe the console and I weren't sure which setting was set.

Haven't had an issue since.

I'm loving the PS4. I got FIFA 14 and MLB 14 the Show as my first two games. At first, I thought the games were great but they frustrated me. Why? I'm new to both franchises; I've never owned a baseball game other than the Bigs (which is really an arcade game) and I had FIFA 12 which I rarely played. So, I liked both games but was frustrated because I sucked at both of them. Now, I'm getting better at both games and absolutely loving them.

I worked and made some money this weekend. I'm really tempted to pick up a used Madden 25 for the PS4 on Walmart's website; it's 35 dollars with shipping. I also really want UFC. I could get both, but I don't want to spend all my money at the moment. I want to be able to get Madden 15 on day one....Decisions decisions.

My recordings work 100% of the time as they are supposed to. This is my step by step how I do it.

Lets use EA UFC as a example. I know I have a OS league match and want to record the fight. Once we get in the game and the match is about to start I....

1) Double hit share to start video recording

2) Once fight is over, I HOLD share button to bring up share menu

3) I hit SQUARE to save video.

4) Done, last recording saved as intended.

Can't you just hold share and the footage should be in there (provided its been 15 minutes or less)?

Anyone having the issue of not seeing videos or screenshots friends uploaded in the what's new section? They see my videos no problem but when they upload anything it never shows up on my end. All their privacy settings on the PS4 and Facebook are set exactly like mine so I have no idea what the deal is.

My only issue with that section is it seems that sometimes whenever I look at my trophies it finally gets around to synching a months worth of activity and the what's new is flooded with my stuff. Probably happened 3 times now.

Yes. I have a friend who's been trying to post a ufc Bruce Lee montage video he created and it never appears on what's new. I do not have Facebook however. We assumed that was the issue but since you're having problems obviously that's not it.

Having trophy issues as well. I was gone for a week. Got back last night and turned on ps4 and loaded SE3. What's new said I earned two new trophies 3 minutes before it says I started playing SE3 for the night. The trophies were actually earned last Tuesday.

I'm also having real name problems. I set my real name in the settings to Drew (middle name I go by sometimes), but what's new section has my real real name Mark that's registered to my psn id. What's even stupider, when I send messages or game invites it still will come from my psn id MabsterB.

Thing is we play the same games . If I buy madden 15 digital is there a way he could play it too if I logged on into the new ps4 ?

Do you have your own PS4? If so, you could buy a digital copy of Madden on your PSN account, then log into your PSN account on his PS4, download the game, and be good to go.

The problem is the PS4 does not automatically start recording when you turn the system on. You have to hit the share button then it will start recording. At least that is what I have noticed about mines since one of the recent updates.
