Yeah. Here is the one im rocking with: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824014345
Great price and great monitor. Playing the Show on this monitor is a lot different than playing on my TV. Different for the better that is. I was coming for a Sony 55 NX810 tv. I am able to turn on a fastball in the mid 90's with no issues and actually be ahead at time and be able to pull then consistently Now my problem is with Change-ups...way too ahead on those but something im getting better at. Plus, my score in COTW has improved dramatically.
The picture quality is good on the monitor if you adjust the settings but I may eventually get this one: http://www.amazon.com/BenQ-XL2720Z-2...&keywords=benq since it has great picture quality and great refresh rate and response time.
Gaming monitors, IMO, are great. Definitely enjoy gaming a lot more on my monitor than on my TV. My wife likes it as well since she can watch tv without me bugging herPSN: ckarlic

PlayStation 4 Discussion
I use a monitor too. It's hard to go back.
Only issue is when people come over to play the show or madden. It's tough crowding around my desk. I move it to the tv but move it back afterwards. Id consider getting another ps4 but it seems a little excessive for just that one reason. Other than that using a monitor is great.Last edited by sbauer318; 08-20-2014, 12:05 PM.Comment

Sometimes I like playing games over there because the TV is bigger and better like I said, plus that's where my surround sound speakers are set up and sometimes I just want to hear the surround sound over the headset.
Also, I can easily just switch that HDMI cable from PC-TV1 to PS4-TV2 and play my PS4 on TV2 which is on the computer desk with a monitor that way I can have the PC and internet or whatever up on the monitor and use the TV2 to play the PS4 conveniently.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

Great point made earlier about the wife. She sits on the couch and watches her girlie shows on DVR or Netflix on the big TV, I sit off to the side at my desk with my Golds & my monitor.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Glad to see the monitor talk in the PS4 thread. I've been using my monitor since my 360 (made games look much crisper) and since day one that I purchased my PS4.
For some of you on the fence & thinking about monitors, please visit the prad.de site I linked a page back. It has valuable info and they rate & review everything extensively down to the tiniest detail.Comment

I play on a 55 inch Samsung LED. For MLB the Show I was always late on pitches. Thanks for all the input fellas, will definitely be picking one up soon.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Here is that life saving video for PS4 users who are getting that new Xfinity Router upgrade.
Ok so watch the video...it is pretty self explanatory. Go to your Admin site for your router (you will understand this once you get your self install kit and hook it up) and follow his instructions.
Bascially under connections go to "Wifi"
Then under security mode change the WPA to: WPA -PSK (TKP)
Then go to the advanced menu and under that open Port Forwarding and enter in these 4 ports:
PS41 TCP/UDP 80 80 10.0.0.28
PS42 TCP/UDP 443 443 10.0.0.28
PS43 TCP/UDP 1935 1935 10.0.0.28
PS44 TCP/UDP 3478 3480 10.0.0.28
Watch the video.....I put these numbers up because they are a little hard to rad on the video.
I am now on live chat with Sony and will alert them to this issue for Comcast/XFinity customers upgrading to this new router. Also posted a Thread with the video and Fix on the support forum at PSN.
Happy gaming!!!!Last edited by Armor and Sword; 08-20-2014, 02:27 PM.Now Playing on PS5:

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
PS4 update!!!
Wow.....this has been some experience. So after work I get home and my replacement console was in my den and I took my kid to baseball practice. After we come home and do the ALS ice bucket challenge we proceed to the den to hook up the console and enjoy PSN and get ready for the PS4 gen.
SAME ISSUE AGAIN. It kept timing out on a DNS error message. Yet my PS3, Macbook-Pro, I-Pad's, I-Phones etc are all connected and running.
It can't be defective consoles. So I call Xfinity first. Clueless...no help. I call Sony again get a nice guy and Not 2 in a row!!! We go through the reboot of the router etc....NADA. He is at a loss as well.
So I go to bed....tired, angry, depressed. I keep saying to myself...something is amiss, there is a hole I am not filling. I have a dream...yes a freaking dream last night about getting connected and all is well in the world.
I wake up at 6AM sharp, start the coffee pot and hit my Mac. It struck me like a bolt of lighting. 4 weeks ago I upgraded my Xfinity router. It was a free upgrade that Comcast told me about via a letter in the mail and I went to my account online and they shipped the new faster and far better router.
Well I said to myself it has to be something that is not compatible with the PS4!!!! Has to be something inside.
I search U-Tube and type in "can't connect to PSN Network with PS4 using Xfinity internet"
A video showed up and I clicked on it. He said I just upgraded my Xfinity router yada yada and now I can't connect. After hours and hours I found the solution. He showed how he did it.
PORT FORWARDING.
So the video showed me that I needed to go into my Admin tool for my router what how to forward ports and set it up etc.
IT WORKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am on PSN and activated my PS4 and all is great in the world. I will attach the link to that video when I get home from work tonight. I am certain other Xfinity Comcast internet users who get this new router upgrade will not be able to initially connect to PSN with their PS4;s without doing this exercise.
I will also make Sony aware of this issue ASAP so their tech's can guide people to the solution.
Amazing how I stumbled on to this. I was determined and it paid off. Thank god for U-Tube...truly a godsend.
