    This should be it:

I'm almost positive that's the one I had, but I'm going to use that one and try again. Thanks.

I assume your turning it on at the console? If so, it sounds like your controller is no longer synced. Try to re-sync it with the cord.

Yeah, the system comes back on, but it won't recognize the controller.

Tried again and am still getting the error code. Am I going to have to wipe the drive and completely reinstall system software or could it be a problem with my internet? If I have to go through that, I'll probably just upgrade my hard drive to something bigger (was looking into it anyways).

I'm using just a regular pair of headphones when I play games at night, is it worth it to pay to get a set of Silver or Gold headphones?

IMO only if you intend to connect them to the PS4 by USB to get the surround sound effect.

Turn on the PS4 and plug the controller into the USB port using the charging cable, and then press the PS button.

Yeah I don't even really think the games you are playing is supposed to make a difference. I would say I can probly get like 8 hour with the controller on a charge where DS3 was like 40 hours. But at the same time now that you can charge controllers with the system in sleep mode I don't think it is really much of an issue.

I personally love the silver headset, but I agree with this.

Might want to reset the controller first (the reset button is in the back of the controller, close to the light bar next to a screw, press that, then plug in usb and hit ps button, controller doesn't need to be "on" to reset)

I'll try resetting the controller next time I have it in Rest Mode if the DS4 doesn't respond. Slab, I did try plugging it in to the PS4 and it still wouldn't respond.

I have the Gold Headphones, and bought the Turtle Beach dxl1 because I wanted the DAC that came with it. I also have 2 sets of pretty good headphones in the Sennheiser HD 598 and Ultrasone Pro 750.

The Gold set probably sounds slightly worse than the dxl1 imo as they have less base than the Turtle Beach's which I like for GTA, but I never use the Turtle Beach because of the mess of cables running everywhere.

The other 2 headphones sound great with gaming but with no built in mic I need to run a mic from my controller which again, is the annoying cable issue.

The Golds are awesome because there are zero cables. They sound pretty decent and the mic seems pretty good on them as well. I dont think I would pay full price for them, but I got them for $60 Canadian a few months ago and it was worth the price.

It really depends if you mind having cables running to your PS4/reciever for headphones plus having a mic hooked up to the controller or built in to the headset. The wireless freedom the Golds give is nice, and I find them pretty comfortable. You can also use the included cable to use them as a wired headset as well. Keep in mind they are not Bluetooth, which for some reason I thought they were, so you must use the included wireless dongle and wont be able to connect them to a phone or any other bluetooth device wirelessly.

Yeah, try what Burns suggested. Seems to be an odd occurrence. Maybe a bad controller, if that doesn't work? It's a new system, correct?

Yes, I've had the system 18 days. The controller works just fine and it's worked coming out of Rest Mode before; just seems like the couple of times I've left the PS4 in Rest Mode overnight and plugged in my DS4 to charge is where the issue is occurring.
