Excellent. Considering that it has 4 total ports (only the 2 higher voltage works to charge DS3/DS4 controllers as you alluded to earlier), and currently still in production, ability to charge directly using a wall outlet completely opposite and away from the PS3/PS4 consoles, small sleek and aesthetically pleasing, simultaneously charge and game, this is exactly what I wanted to know. Thumbs up SEGA_LOYAL_FAN.

EDIT: If anyone else has any first hand input on an even more affordable ac wall adapter that works for the DS3, that would be great. The RAVPower charger has an MSRP of $49.99 with a current sale price of $17.99 as of 1-12-15. If the price remains at $17.99 or lower, that would be wonderful. The only concern is if the price skyrockets to $49.99.

I bought this to charge my tablet and phone along with my bluetooth headset when it was on sale for about $9 bucks last year but this also charges my ps3 and ps4 controllers when it's connected to the 5v2.4a ports. Best tech buy outside of ps4 and htc one m8 phone.

Anyones upgraded their ps4 hd with a hybrid drive?

Yea it's actually a pretty cool concept. It tells you what to do as you play, not too far in at all.

Appreciate the input. It is well known that any LED/LCD TV with an available usb port will definitely work as will a laptop, computer, and an av receiver to fully charge a PS3 controller while simultaneously allow for uninterrupted gaming.

The key, however, is to eliminate wires running across the room; To find a compatible charging device that sits at the rear of the room, opposite the tv. I was hoping for an additional list of wall outlet charging options that OS users may have come across, such as the one named by user SEGA_LOYAL_FAN.

Plus, having recently retired my wired headphones connected to the headphone jack on my Sony TV, I didn't want more wires. The current Sony OEM has been working wonders. More options the better.

The DS4 really needs a charging dock because the battery life is laughable in that thing. I love the controller's design overall, but the battery is a big negative.
Try going into settings and changing the light on your DS4 to DIM if you haven't already. Since I did this I have not had to recharge during long gaming sessions.

I haven't had my controller die while playing, but I do keep it on the charger while not in use. With the DS3 I can play and not charge it for about 5-7 days.

Sony has announced the 500GB PlayStation 4 console bundle will now include The Last of Us: Remastered at no additional cost in North America.

Will make it a cheap title quickly for any of us who haven't snagged it for one reason or another.

I'm with you 100% on the battery of the DS4. The controller is vastly improved from the DS3 aside from the short battery life. I have my light setting on DIM and it still drains quickly.

I can't wait till they update the firmware to give us more then the one warning on the low battery. Mine still last for a couple hours after that warning and I usually forget it was given. It's died more then a couple times on me while in the heat of action.

How long is quickly? My fiance and I do long Diablo sessions and our controllers have never died.. At least six or seven hours straight.

Just tried the ps now free trial. Played Dead or Alive 5 for a bit. My internet connection is very poor so although I was able to play the game the responsiveness just wasn't there. Felt like I was playing NBA 2k15 so I will just hold on to my PS3.

Depending on the game I can get 6 or 7 hours of playing time on a single charge. With Dragon Age Inquisition and Outlast, I was able to get 10 hours of playing time. So it really depends on the type of game you are playing. If you are playing a game that requires constant multiple button presses I noticed that cuts your battery fast.

For example, playing NBA 2K15, 1 game of that on 12 minute quarters which equals to 1 hour 10 minutes of real life time, my controller battery be a little less then half way dead. But playing a full game of MLB The Show, my controller only be just a tad bit dead.

                                2 controllers is a must.
