I just bought a Last of US digital code off someone on another forum for $20. Already beat the game, but why not. The multiplayer was fun and I can see myself playing it again. Such a great game.

I am the type of guy who gets stuck in games and tend to quit playing. I love how TLOU will give you a hint after a certain amount of time to get you back on track.. That's really something I wish all games would do and maybe I'd stick with them till the end.

I purchased TLOU and played a few hours then let someone borrow it.

It seemed fun, but it was also a little frustrating to me. It may just be my patience for video games now.. definitely not as high on it as most.

I'm in no hurry to return to it and beat it.

What do people want to see out of the LBP series? The 3rd is a pretty big flop (133k sales in the biggest month this console generation thus far), and GAF seems to think it's due in part to the backward compatibility holding it back.

I've had a blast with my 3 year old and Disney Infinity. It's the first time he's even held a controller though so it was more focused on him swapping characters out on the portal or fumbling with the buttons. Since he's got a Kindle Fire and has been watching Disney movies it was a very natural fit.

Not sure but I love LBP. The main issue I have with it is it's a bit more cumbersome when it comes to playing the levels.. and by that I mean finding the darn levels lol

And to the previous posts about not liking TLOU... Damn...
One of the best games I've played in a long time.

Honestly, 60 FPS and less floaty physics. I think this alone will really bring about a lot of people's gripes about the game always feeling the same. I'm picturing it in my head, and I'm picturing awesomeness from it. If by "BC holding it back" you mean their PS3 counterpart keeping the PS4 version from being what it could have been, then I would agree. They were initially targeting 60 FPS, that much is certain. I'm sure Metacritic might also have something to do with making people's decisions for them, probably because how buggy it has been out of the box. Have they made a patch for it yet?

I'm also sensing that the new characters aren't used much to accomplish their own goals in one level unless the game switches characters for you at some point. I like the idea of new characters, but it only works in a four player game... like where everybody is forced to play together and at the same time.

If bonus levels make a larger splash or they go to a lot of different modes rather than just traversing the worlds, LBP Karting should essentially be integrated within this game as well. Not with the current state of LBP Karting though, that wasn't that good. At least it would have then been excusable since it would have essentially been an add-on, and I probably would have enjoyed it more as a larger package.

The only other thing I could think of is maybe they try something a little more ballsy and do what Mario ended up doing: make a world of three traversable planes. Yes, I know there is a little more in-an-out of the screen in LBP 3, but it's not quite the same thing. Do I want that? Probably not, as it takes away from the gameplay creativity it currently has and would require significantly more creativity in the other format (think Tearaway kind of creativity, only no touch screen to do anything with).

Otherwise, you got me. Its cute and simplistic style more than likely will always be there, so if we're asking for blood and guts this probably isn't the platform to do it on.

EDIT: Reading around, it looks like the 60 FPS was not chosen for the exact reason you mentioned. Also, if they go by "less floaty physics" as I said, I do have a feeling that going BC with different versions of levels and the community levels won't work. So it makes me wonder... can they ever dial it down?

One thing I guess they can't be afraid of is "starting over." We now have a PS4 version to play with the old stuff on, but if they want to put life back into the franchise, it appears that a lot of people are clamoring for the weightier gravity and higher framerate. Would definitely breathe new life into this thing. Maybe the style, while still staying cute, can refrain from so much brown and green next time. There are things that can change from version to version that they should think about for the next time.

Not looking for something specific, I am one of the 'dont play it because floaty physics' guys. I asked because sales like this could end the franchise IMO. If there's a 4 there are going to have to be substantial changes I'd think so was wondering what people hoped/wanted from the franchise.

Well, then I stand by what I said. 60 FPS, more weight to the game's gravity, the thought of full three-dimensional exploration, integration with a Karting mode or bonus levels, more integration with the new characters in the same level or at the same time, and a slightly more intense atmosphere. This is kiddie-Mario to most, and it more often leaves uninformed people asking: "What's the game's objective?"

I will be picking this game up because I ordered it as a part of the B2G1F, otherwise it was just going to be a Christmas deal. I love this game, but I love playing it more with my sister, who is at UCLA most of the year. If this is going to be a game I want to play for the long haul, they can't be afraid to forget LBP 1, 2 and 3 if it has to be left behind to maximize their visual and creative abilities.
