Screenshots of scenes when you earn trophies are now saved automatically. You can view saved screenshots in [Capture Gallery].

Not a big trophy guy, but that is a pretty neat feature.

[Accessibility] has been added to [Settings]. You can adjust accessibility settings such as zooming and button assignments.

And what does this mean? Can we like change our X to Square for games or something?

I honestly just wish that every game allowed for full button customization, especially FPS stick controls.

From the pictures I've seen at NeoGaf, every button assignment, directional pad input, and L3, R3, LS, RS, are going to be customizable.

Very interesting. I wonder what people would change and for what reason, or better yet if the game somehow recognized that you changed buttons and when it says "Press R1 to do this" when you've changed it to Triangle that it would recognize that. I feel like it wouldn't because that's art within the game itself, so...

I wonder what the best advantage would be for this besides games that didn't do RP right with the buttons and the Vita's lack of extra triggers.

My PS4 was purchased in Japan and the O and X are switched in the menus and the Amazon Prime app.

I would really like to remap that. It still feels awkward to me in menus.

If it would have some effect on my games then I won't bother with it.


I'm also holding out for an external HDD at this point. I've had to delete a few games, but I don't have anything on my Hard Drive I really just want off of it at this point. Downloads take a little time and I don't want to re install every game I have with a new HD. I should have done it earlier in my PS4's life.

The button configuration option is what im looking forward to the most. I know a lot of people would swap the X and O (circle) buttons but not me. I like that X is confirm and O (circle) is cancel / go back because im used to that on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.I'm pretty sure Xbox One is the same as Xbox 360 so having both consoles the same is great for those who own both or will eventually own both.

Being able to switch the "attack" buttons like in Apotheon for example from R2 to one of the main four buttons could be huge. Also, being able to switch the L3 button to the R3 button in order to make running by pressing R3 instead of L3 but keeping L3 as the direction and R3 as the camera would be great too.

Hopefully, this just isn't for the XMB and apps. Also, very interested to know what that "zooming" feature actually does in accessibility. Someone on NeoGaf told me that it's for those with disabilities and while I understand that, im really hoping that you can zoom in the screen when playing a wide screen aspect ratio game such as The Evil Within and The Order: 1886.

Definitely looking forward to this update.

Lots of Japanese games have it reversed, though.

I really think in a way they are trying to cater toward the RP crowd who can't sprint with R or something because it's tied to the rear touchpad, stuff like that. Like I said, what will make this kind of weird is that I don't think the "art" in the game will change when it comes to prompting certain controller actions.

I'm guessing there are also a handful of games that don't offer a southpaw control scheme, so this can be in place for them.

Tried playing Counterspy, but the blurry and/or curved filters give me a headache and you can't turn them off.

The graphics filters that make the screen look like an old CRT (the grainy screen and the rounded sides)

They aren't great at cancelling noise or retaining noise inside the headphones, but for sound and in-game party chat they are well worth the money.

I use mine on my PS4 and PC.
