BenQ is a great gaming monitor for the low input lag and no ghosting but you do sacrifice image quality and color reproduction along with black levels

I.P monitors have excellent color and viewing angles but dont have very good response time

I stick to Asus or Samsung for best of both worlds

With a lot of experimenting and personal tweaks I have gotten my benq I have gotten it to a point where I can definitely say it looks very very good, sometimes great, but always very good. It definitely does not have the quality of a good ips panel but the quality I get on top of the instant response times is huge for me. I have a custom preset settling for Xbox, a different one for ps4, and a third different one for my PC. It just takes some tweaking.

My next monitor will definitely be an ips panel. I will research the best ones with best response times

There are two types of updates. You will need the one that has the system software. It's about 800 mb in size. The firmware only update is the smaller file size. Hope that helps.

I am now downloading an update from their site that is 700+ but less than 800 MB. Thinking that's what I need.

Are you sure you downloaded the full install or just the latest update? There are two files Sony lists.



Also are you sure the flash drive is formatted correctly?

Flash drive is good because I've already copied my game saves over to it. Thinking I downloaded the wrong update. This one is almost 800 MB I'm downloading now while the other one was between 200-300 MB.

That should be it. Sorry didn't know the exact size. They tell you that you need 900 mb free on your thumb drive. Figured it's about 800.

I almost **** a brick because of this. I'm not very handsy with this stuff and the swap out went with ease. Hoping the installing following this download goes the same.

I did too when I put a 1 tb hybrid in mine. Had to go on their forums to see what I was doing wrong. Never knew at the time there were two files.

I didn't have any issues actually installing the file.

All is well. Installing game data for my games. Where can I find all the stuff I previously had downloaded on the other hard drive?

Did you the backup/restore function? If not, game saves would be on the "cloud" if you have it auto upload. I'm not sure about what you mean other stuff. Add ons can just be redownload since it's tied to your PSN account.

My game saves are good. Saved them to a flash drive prior to the switch over. Add ons was what I was referring to and you already answered it. Thanks.

I had that monitor and I thought the pq was fantastic as it has sub pixels beneath the pixels. But the motion ghosting not good on that model...Sucks because it is fantastic

Is this prototype bundle worth getting if I never played the games before? Are they good enough to buy for 50 bucks?
