Sounds like you should wait either way.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
UC4 is 2016. If NBA is the only thing you're going to play on it I'd consider waiting (especially with the holidays coming up). Also want to point out that PS4's price was just cut in Japan a couple days ago per an announcement at TGS, so it's possible the West could be receiving one too.Comment

I don't think we'll see a price cut in the west anytime soon. I say this because console sales in Japan are really in an all time low, even the Vita was selling more than the PS4 there.
They're probably cutting the price to encourage people to buy the PS4, but Japan is going away from home consoles since a few years ago.
They're more into portable and mobile gaming right now, and as always, pachinko and arcade machines.PSN ID/Street Fighter V Fighter ID: razorkaosComment

I'm curious to know too, though. It started selling for like $40 and I almost felt there was no downside to getting one at that point. If Remote Play got the overhaul that it did, I can only assume that it also translates to PS TV. But I never quite gave them the benefit of the doubt on it after I returned it the first time.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I'm tempted to bite on the Limited Edition White Destiny PS4 + FIFA16 GameStop deal.. $400+tax for everything whereas every other store is just selling the bundle without FIFA. I heard Destiny was disappointing, but FIFA's always fun. Do you think there will be anything substantially better on/near Black Friday?
I know last year there weren't any deals under that price and the bundles didn't include marquee games.Last edited by J-Clutch1; 09-18-2015, 11:13 AM.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
I still have one and it is currently a paperweight. The quality of the Remote Play, for me, is just not acceptable. I can do better with my Vita at a different location than this thing does on my home network, both wireless and via PowerLine. Tried messing with various settings and nothing was ever was satisfactory enough for me to continue using it. Remote Play was a big selling feature for me with the PS4/Vita/PSTV, but it has been considerably lackluster compared to my experience with the XB1 and Windows 10 streaming.XBL & PSN: zasbury25Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Basically, Share Play isn't close to Remote Play when it comes to response time. If this is like that, it will be unacceptable.
(by "Remote Play," I'm referring to how the Vita performs... because it would be called the same thing on PS TV)Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Just for good measure, right after I said I haven't turned back to it, I recognized it's still at its $40 price tag so I put in an order for store pickup at Best Buy. I'll probably pick it up today, but I'd really like to see if it's as bad as zasbury claims it still is, because last time it was atrocious.
