Is there a general consensus on which 2TB HDD is best as a replacement?
I just bought this one from Amazon. It seems like a popular choice, though according to "rumors" I've heard, you can buy the already-enclosed version listed previously. Really is nice to have all that extra space.
Keep in mind if you plan to backup and restore your PS4, you'll need a "third" hard drive to complete the transfer. You can buy an enclosure for ~$10 if you already have an extra drive handy that isn't an external.
Does anyone recommend any particular microphone for the PS4? I'm still using the system default (the one that came with the system), but I think I'd like to upgrade to something better. And since bluetooths don't look like an option any time soon - or likely ever - I guess I need to buy something over-the-ear.

I use mine more then my golds. Super light and comfortable.
I bought these for $4.99 at sears a while back and they are excellent.. I dont like double ear headsets because I like to be able to hear whats going on around me.. So these are perfect..
So about 5 mintues ago, I was about to watch something on Amazon video. BOOM there is an NFL app now, and the best part (for me). If you have NFL Game Pass you can watch the coaches film. From. Your. Playstation 4. In. HD. I was planing to sleep, but now I may be pulling an all nighter.
Question re: 2 PS4s in the same house. We're getting a 2nd PS4, and I'm wondering if it's possible to play multi-player games on the consoles at the same time. Do you have to have two PSplus accounts? Do you have to have a digital copy of the game? I assume yes, or you wouldn't be able to play the game on both.
Are there other advantages to having two PS4s that you can pass along?

Yeah, you need a digital copy. You don't need two PS Plus subscriptions if you set it up like this.
- Have one PS plus account.
- Have a digital copy owned by the person with the Plus account.
- On the other PS4 (the one that the PS Plus player doesn't use), you need to login to the PS4 with the Plus account and set it as their primary PS (http://manuals.playstation.net/docum...ctivation.html). After that's done, the non PS Plus user may log into that PS4 and play that user's games and use their Plus benefits. The Primary PS4 option allows this to take place.
- Now, the Plus player will need to login to the other PS4 with their credentials like normal. Since you're not playing on the Primary PS4 anymore, you will always need to be connected to PSN. Offline licenses are only stored on the Primary PS4.
Follow-up question: When both PS4s are in use, with say different physical copy games, how or can I be online with those? I'm confused as to what a sub-account really is, and if it's something I should have set up a long time ago for the kids. Would they log into a sub-account under my PSN name/account? And then can both the sub-account and the "main" account under my PSN name be online gaming at the same time?

Reason: another Q
Updated my hard drive this weekend to a 2 TB. Ran into some weird stuff that I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced. I think everything is back to normal now but wondering if I might have done something wrong.
First...while backing up my saved data to a USB 3.0 flash drive that I had already added the OS install to, I started with Madden and just said Select All rather than going through each one individually. Started it and switched the input back to the football game I was watching. Next commercial break, I flip back over to the PS4 input and the system had shut down. Noticed that the Madden files were on the flash drive so moved on to WWE. Same thing when I switched back at the next commercial break. It was almost like the system went into some type of deep sleep mode because I had to actually push the power button on the system. Decided to try a smaller file to see what was going on and it worked perfectly fine. Tried Madden again but selected each file individually and waited the 3 minutes to see if it said anything...nope, worked fine. Eventually got everything onto the flash drive but this seemed weird to me. This was all from the old hard drive prepping to go to the new one.
Then...after installing the new drive and getting the OS set up, I started to re-install my games. I've got 3-5 digital copies (minus PS Plus ones that were all smaller) in addition to some big Application Data files for some physical copies. At one point on Saturday night, they all said at least 6 hours to completion. This is on a wireless connection. (I know that explains the time. I don't usually care too much about the speed because I'm a solo offline gamer 90% of the time and allow it to update patches and stuff while I'm at work or sleeping) I decided to plug the PS4 into the router directly on the upstairs TV while my wife was napping to get a little faster speeds. Did that, saw that it was looking more like 60-75 minutes a piece so I turned the TV off (left PS4 on), and went back downstairs to watch some football. Came up about 45 min later to check on things and the screen was black but I could hear the audio going on and off. Tried a few other things but nothing worked. Brought it back downstairs and plugged it in half expecting to need to call Sony and it worked fine after it checked the system files. Again, this was with the new hard drive.
Does this sound familiar to anyone else? Like I said, I haven't experienced issues outside of these either before or after them. Did I maybe miss a step or more somewhere that would have caused this?

I've tried the PS+ sharing in my house with my PS4 and my sons PS4, and lets just say that it is more of a hassle then saving the $30-40 a year.. I would get logged out when he logged in for some reason, and the games that I had licenses to would not allow him to play them even though I was primary on his PS4..

Make sure you're not signing into the same account twice. We have two consoles here and never have issues with it.
Make sure you have two different ps users setup and each one is linked to a unique PSN user.
