The connector by where the headset folds is held in place by a metal rod behind a thin piece of plastic. One of those busted through when I was taking them off my head with one hand. I wasn't ripping them off my head either. Just take care and use two hands to make sure they're loosened up and you're not putting any strain on that joint. My pair still works, I just have to be really, really careful now when handling them and have to snap it back into place once in a while. Also, if you are having problems with the mic being super quiet online, plug the set into the controller so that it's not in true wireless mode.

Does help if I just tape the hinges where they fold...to prevent future breakage?

I honestly don't think that would really help all that much because the rod is fully encased behind the plastic. It could break through even with tape on it I would think. Mine might have just been a weak piece of plastic or had a crack in it I didn't notice from the start. Other than that, I've been really happy with my set.

So I donated my PS4 to the Boys & Girls Club I work at and I'm planning on buying a new one this weekend. I know that the $299 price change starts Sunday, but I have some Best Buy Certs that expire on Saturday.

My question is: Would I be able to buy tomorrow or Saturday and get the price difference credited back on Sunday?

I know they have a 15-day window for games, I would assume it's the same for the console. But I'm not 100 percent positive on the console.

Returns for consoles (even opened ones):

            From BB support:
You would have within 15 days of the original day of purchase to process a return or exchange. If you have Elite or Elite Plus status, then that time frame would be an extended (30 days for Elite members and 45 days for Elite Plus members). You will just want to bring the console and your purchase receipt up to a Best Buy store to process the transaction.

Also for your situation of a price drop:

"If we lower our price during the return and exchange period, we will match our lower price, upon request."

That's a really nice gesture of you to donate your PS4. I'm sure the kids are going to enjoy it!

Most definitely. I haven't told them that it's theirs to keep yet. They just think I've brought it in with Madden and another staff members NBA2k16, but we're going to give all of the stuff to them as a holiday present.

I think we all take for granted how there are some kids out there that would love to have a ps4 or XB1 but their family has to decide how they're going to pay the rent or heat or gas to go to work. While some of us on this site are fortunate enough to buy multiple consoles for their home. Sports Gaming was a huge part of my childhood so it's great to pay it forward. I'd implore anyone out there to volunteer or do the same.

Emulation on PS4 news expected tomorrow at PSX. People really upset over this blurb via a Dark Cloud trailer that was accidentally posted early:
Gameplay footage from Dark Cloud PS2 game on the PS4 system. Experience Dark Cloud with 1080p up-rendering and Trophies. Additional enhanced features include Shareplay (Active PS Plus membership may be required), Remote Play, Activity Feeds and Second Screen support for game manuals through the PS Vita system or PlayStation App.

[…] PS2 Classics and PS2-formatted discs are incompatible with the PS4 system.

The implication being you'll need to re-buy anything you want to play, I believe. Doesn't really bother me, but GAF is in a tizzy, lol.

Actual info tomorrow it sounds like.

No PS4 PS2 Classics or Discs Says Trailer: Last night, Sony published a Dark Cloud PlayStation 4 trailer on YouTube. They quickly removed it, but not before people were able to capture images of the video, revealing that the PlayStation 2 emulation on PS4 won't support PS2 discs or PS2 Classics.

Gamers stay crying about something. Not much on PS2 I'd even want to play again, but I don't mind buying the game if I do.

I don't care about PS2 games. Now if it was PS3 games then that's a different story.

So wait, Vice City and San Andreas in 1080 on my PS4 and trophies?

                            I'm buying both.

Is there an online component to them?

Considering vice city goes for 7.99 on Amazon this seems a little silly.
