I posted the same thing in the PC thread, but Microcenter has the HTC Vive demo in stores. PSVR is obviously a different system, but if you want to give VR a try and don't have access to a PSVR demo then I recommend it. I sincerely hope the new controller comes with a built in soundboard that can be enabled or disabled. Imagine L1+R2+X = MLG airhorn.

So I have been thinking about how most gens are 5-6 years on consoles and how last gen was longer and got a lot of complaints for that. So I thought we would be back to the normal 5-6 year gen this gen which would mean a ps5 in 2018-19 but now that we are going to get the NEO and now that Xbox is going to have a more powerful system next year I am not sure about that. I mean if NEO comes out next year and then we get NEO in 18-19 that would only be 1-2 years from NEO to ps5. So I am thinking maybe NEO is kind of a middle update so that the gen can go longer and maybe we will not get a ps5 in till like 2020-2021 instead. What do you guys think about this? I mean we have never really seen a update in power like middle gen like this before so it really is hard to say. So what do you guys think this means for consoles going forward and for ps5?Comment

If the Neo is coming out this year I really wish Sony would announce the release date before the XboxONE S drops in August. If it's coming out this year I will hold out on buying an S and put that money towards a Neo.Xbox Series X: KILLMUNGERComment

While I am just guessing that it gets 10 hours but maybe it is less. I have seen some people say that to about the newer DS4 in this thread which is odd because I never heard any thing from sony about the DS4 getting different better battery's or any thing compared to controllers that where day 1. I have 2 controllers one from day 1 and the other one I have had I think for like a year and I don't really notice a difference between the 2 but I don't think I have used each one enough over all to really say and if battery's have gotten better in newer DS4 controllers I don't know how new we are talking about. Gamecube is my favorite controller of all time. Perfect size and shape.
While I do wish the battery life was longer DS3's was much longer but you can also charge them in sleep and you couldn't do that on ps3 so that kind of makes up for that. Its not as bad as say the wii u gamepad to. That thing I think only gets like 3 hours and I don't have 2 of them so I can charge one while I play with the other one like I do on ps4 or ps3.Comment

Sony just recently said they are unsure about having a full blown presence at Gamescom in Germany this August. Quite honestly, they don't need to. They dominate Germany in sales 9:1, and a small show floor presence is all that is needed.
They menationed there are other shows in Europe around that time they could attend, like Spain, etc., or also they were not against having their own show like the US version of PSX.
However, shinobi602, a well known insider who is usually on the money, said he has been hearing PGW for months now. Which would line up with a reveal, and launch 3 weeks later. Plenty of time in advance for a non cannibalizing product, and just after the initial PSVR launch.

Nope its me and I wasn't trying to be trollish or any thing. I just have never cared for Microsoft at all but I am glad they are around because it is competition and the more competition the better. I guess because I don't like Microsoft at all some times that can come off kind of trollish. That is why I don't post much on the xbox threads and such but I meant what I was saying. Before ps3 I was mostly a Nintendo guy. Then with ps3 and ps4 I have become more of a sony guy but I still like Nintendo a lot because they do things differently and they still have some of the best game franchise of all time in Zelda, Donkey kong etc.Comment

My prediction for still the same....October 13th. Same day as PSVR. Of course, Sony should delay it simply because it will be obsolete in a year's time. Even without that other console a year later, Neo is just a minimal upgrade and nothing special. If anything, I think that it's simply meant to help PSVR games as opposed to the console games itself.
All five opening games of Sony's E3 conference were running and being played off the current base PS4. Days Gone alone proved that Neo isn't needed.
As for PSVR, I see it as just another peripheral that will be awesome and amazing until the novelty of it wares off and people realize that they're getting hour experiences as opposed to actual games. Also, games for it need to be exclusive and built from the ground up for the PSVR. Not ports or as an added feature.
PSVR will have a decent run but within two years and no one including those who purchased it will care about it anymore.
Outside of Eve Valkrie, there's not a single game that's worth buying PSVR (or any of them for that matter) for. At least for me anyway.Comment
