For PSVR you have to have the camera and move controllers. I'm guessing the move controllers from the PS3 are what they are talking about and the new PS4 camera?

Yep which is why I still have 2 of them. At least that's one area I don't have to rebuy something. (Also already have the camera)

The price point sucks but I've always been about trying new gaming experiences. If it busts then it busts but I'm going to give it a go like I always do.
I just really hope they manage to make The Show and Madden VR capable.. have my doubts but I can dream.

Thinking about trying the VR this weekend while I'm in Baltimore. It will have a big impact on if I will consider purchasing or not in the future.

Thanks. I already have both of those things and my birthday is October 8th so I'm probably gonna get this. I'm excited to try it.

I hated VR. I've been completely against it from the start. That being said, I got to play with PSVR for about 30 mins today. I'm hooked, I was blown away. The video quality was outstanding and it made you feel like you were really there. I never expected it to be that good. 3D gives me headaches but no issues here. I played Battlezone and some shark game. Both were amazing. I couldn't believe the how immersive it was. Battlezone made me feel like I'm in the tank. Had to look all around the tank and just had such a cool feel.

Be like me and I urge you to try it out for yourself.

I definitely think the tech is cool as ****, there is just no way I'm spending the majority of my gaming time with a VR set attached to my face, completely unaware of my real life surroundings. The nature of its intimacy and singularity is why I don't feel it can appeal to the masses, but I've certainly been wrong before. I just don't see how this ever becomes anything more than an expensive, albeit very cool, accessory.

Regardless, I DO hope it sells well. Advances in technology are why I would assume most of us enjoy this hobby and industry in the first place. I'm certainly not going to rule out the possibility of me ever owning the tech, but again, I just can't come to grips with it being more than an add-on.

I don't think it will ever become "normal," like I don't think consoles will ever ship exclusively ship with VR headsets instead of controllers, but I do think it has a chance to be extremely successful.
