If I'm sitting in front of the TV with my PS4 on, I'll be playing a game. I don't understand the fun of watching other people play when I could be doing it myself.

Well I understand why you would say that but the cool thing is if you are kind of iffy about a game you can watch someone play and maybe see what you think or if someone gets a game early like madden or something you can watch some one play before you can play the game.

I hope Sony puts in at least a 1 TB because I don't like having to delete games in order to clear up some space. Also don't like messing with PS4 so I would never swap it out for a bigger HDD.

Believe me I'm like you. I never like messing with my electronic devices. I kept hoping with each new update we would be able to use an external Hard drive with the PS4 , but that never happened. So after two years I got sick of uninstalling an reinstalling games so I put a 2TB hard drive in my PS4 it literately took me 10 minutes , so easy. Then it took a full day to re-download all my games. Now I have 28 games installed and 838 gigs of space left.

Just saw something interesting. I just saw xboxone slim 2 TB cost 324 to make yet it cost 399. Why is this important? Well PlayStation NEO is going to be stronger then xboxone slim but considering they are charging 75 more then it cost to make maybe NEO could cost 399 to make with it having better specs but maybe they will sale it for even unlike the xboxone slim? So 399 to make the NEO and sale it for 399? How does that sound. How much more power could Sony get with the NEO if it cost 75 more to make then xboxone slim?

ZERO chance NEO is 399...No chance

It if is then that machine will not have HDR and a 4K blu ray player and at that point I am out of the NEO because you cant call it PS4K and not have media 4K...If it does it will cost

XB1 2tb is due mainly for the UHD BR player as the specs are the same except it was a bit overclocked and slimmed down. But you are getting 2TB

The 500gb is 300 same specs so Neo with improve specs and UHD player and 4K streaming will cost 100 more then default ps4

The Xbox slim cost $324 to make but that's for the 2TB model. I'm pretty sure it's a lot less for the 500gb model. And, I highly doubt the ps4k will be $399. In my opinion I'd say it'll be $450 for the 500gb model and $500 for a 1TB model.

Playstation Vue subscribers: your login credentials will work on NBCs Olympic site as well as their app. You can stream everything even if you don't get your local nbc channel. They also added two Olympic specific channels to Vue as well.

You do realize that when a console is announced that is what the console thread is about. You wanna talk games? Each game has it's own thread in the other games section.

This thread has been out for close to 3 years and when no console is announced or expected soon the talk dies unless you want to talk VUE but this is normal. You not going to get much more then that during this time.

Or you just want to see talk about...How dusty the fans are in the back after 3 years or i dropped juice on my x button.?

Actually, yea. And controllers and HDD upgrades and firmware updates and flash sales.. There's more than just dust and juice.

Or, serious suggestion, another thread could be started were all the Neo/Scorpio speculations and comparisons could be done.

I'm not a mod or much of a thread starter and I wouldn't start one I'm not interested in anyway, otherwise I would have done it a while ago.

New consoles are being released and it's normal for people to talk specs especially when the thread is dead. Maybe you haven't been outside OS. You could do what I usually do, if I'm not interested or have nothing to contribute to the topic I just ignore it. Or like you said start muting people and we won't have to hear about you complaining either. With that said, I guess it's prohibited to talk about any specs or prices on a console thread especially with a new console released and a few lurking in the near future.

Yea I agree but what about controllers? Is nothing new in that front and Flash Sales I believe are reported in the PSN thread that is pinned. Prices and Specs and rumors about a console coming soon is going to dominate talk for sure. It will go away once the console is out and then it will be a dead thread unless you get the few pages about VUE cable

We have had rumors about the NEO for a long time and I am sure a lot of people are tried about the rumors and want really news and see how it compares to xboxone slim and Scorpio. Right now this is the big news and for me I think this gen has not been that great yet. Come October the last guardian comes out and in feb Horizon and we don't have much news yet about the spiderman game. Those are 3 games I am really looking forward to and I think is the begging of this gen getting better. So really I don't have a lot to talk about.

I know that the 2 TB model is the one that cost 324 to make so my point was if say the NEO has a 2 TB model has well how much more power could you get out of a system if it uses a extra 75 for the specs to cost 399 to make? I really don't know what to expect when it comes to the NEO and its price but hearing that the 2 TB xboxone slim only cost 324 to make I think could be a good thing when it comes to ps4 NEO and its price because that means if they did the same kind of thing with NEO where they have a 2 TB system and want to spend 399 to make it and also charge 399 to make it maybe they could and with a extra 75 in specs maybe that would be enough to keep it at 399 but with solid power. Or maybe Sony could make it for 425 and sale it for 400 which would mean a extra 100 to spend in specs. I don't know a lot about tech but I would think a extra 100 in specs would be a good amount. Do we know how much a regular ps4 cost to make now? If we did we could kind of figure out how much a regular ps4 may cost to make with a 2 TB hard drive. If we then knew that we could see how much lower then 400 it cost to make. My guess is that if the xboxone slim cost 324 to make with a 2 TB hard drive that a regular ps4 with a 2 TB hard drive would cost 350.

Somebody asked recently about the build quality of controllers. Somebody asked about the availability of red controllers. I don't see anything in the psn thread about flash sales recently. I see that in this thread for every sale. You're glossing over everything that is not Neo related just like the 95% of us that are trying to gloss over the Neo speculations that are being discussed ad nauseum.

One thing I wish PS4 would do is add more customization with their controllers, it's something small but I'd love to be able to have a custom color config like Xbox is doing now.

I know there are companies that do it but it would be cool if Sony offered it.

I think it's fairly easy to customize your controller and at a cheaper cost than they could offer. I've customized a few controllers on my own. I suppose they could make some money off it from people who don't feel comfortable doing it themselves.
