I know some of you think 4K is a gimmick, and I understand that...however BASEBALL IN 4K IS GLORIOUS. I'm watching the Jays game in 4K and its stunning, even in that crappy stadium in Montreal.

Seriously? Every article I have read or opinions from those who tried them all said that the Hive was second worse after that cardboard crap. Add in the $800 price tag and to me, it seems like it's all PSVR and OR with the others being "meh". Oh well. Maybe im wrong or maybe it's that Hive isn't focused on games as much as the other two? I don't know. Just going by what I read in articles and thousands of posts of people that have played all of them.

Do you have links to those articles? I've read the complete opposite. OR doesn't include the motion controllers as they haven't been released yet. The Vive does.

The only game this gen that I felt was truly next gen was The Witcher III: Wild Hunt in which I would rate a 9.5/10 and that's excluding the two expansions. Once I finally play both of them, im easily expecting to increase the overall score to a 9.8/10. The Hearts of Stone is damn good and Blood and Wine is expected to be even better. CDPR is as of right now, the ONLY developer to release a true next gen (or current gen now) game and it's not even close.

Bloodborne was also an excellent game but the entire save system of having to find some kind of lamp/light post or whatever the hell it was turned me off completely. I don't have the patience for that and if I miss one and die, I go all the way back. No thanks. Besides, anyone who's played Demon's Souls/Dark Souls already know what to expect with Bloodborne. I know it's a great game and if it had auto save or at least manual saving or something that didn't require me from finding something to save, I would have played more than the 8-10 hours I put into the game. That turned me off and I was simply done. Especially with too many other games I care more about and in a game where I know im going to die a huge amount of times, sorry but no thanks.

Side note - Dark Souls III releases this Tuesday and I have already seen some 10/10 scores so anyone who's waiting for that should be one happy soul.

Platformer wise, I have no interest in Ratchet and Clank and honestly, never did. Have no problem playing a plat-former but im mainly waiting for the game by the ex-developers at Rare. Forgot the name. PlayStation 4 lost it's virginity to KNACK of all games and while I enjoyed it for what it was, it wasn't anything special or anything. A decent plat-former.

Really enjoyed several other games like AC Syndicate, Mad Max, The Division, Far Cry 4, Far Cry Primal, The Evil Within and even though it's not on PS4 yet, Rise of the Tomb raider but none of them are even close to matching The Witcher III in terms of feeling like a next gen experience. As much as I enjoyed all these games because they fit for what im looking for, none of them are "must plays" or "you must buy a PS4/Xbox One to play it".

The Witcher III and the upcoming Uncharted 4 are probably the only two games that are going to truly feel next gen....err, I mean current gen. Oh whatever.

No. It's been a while but they were via N4G.com. I use that site a lot because it links to pretty much every other site and article. Article wise, it was maybe five or six. Mainly, I was going by people's opinions in VR topics on forums/message boards. Of course, for me, I hope they all die out quickly as I have no interest in seeing the future of gaming go that way.

Side note - watched that Angry Joe guy on Youtube and he gave OR a 7/10 score for it's initial launch release. Don't think the Vive has been released yet.

Speaking of baseball games, amazingly, im actually interested in one, no, not that one. I'm interested in RBI Baseball 2016 because I just want something to pick up, play and have fun with.

Has anyone played this year's game yet or last year's? I figure for $16 GCU at Best Buy, this might be a good time waster after Quantum Break while waiting for Uncharted 4.

No but I have seen videos of it. Prefer the MLB game over SMB and also because im not spending $20 on a digital baseball game. RBI would just be something to pass the time on my days off from work while waiting for Uncharted 4.

Spending $20 on a digital SMB game is better than spending any amount of money on RBI

Seriously? RBI is that bad? I read one review that gave it a 7/10 and seemed to be what im looking for. I'll have to do some more research on both games. Thanks.

I imagine a lot of guys have missed out on great gaming experiences due to feeling like some games are for "children". I will play anything, fun is fun regardless of the age.

I think it's a male/macho thing like "I don't want people to see me playing some damned Mario game and think I'm some kind of loser or something" tbh.

To each his or her own but I think writing off an entire genre of great games is sort of strange.

I don't think they are just kid games and even if they are I don't think it is a bad thing to play those kind of games because it helps you to fell young again. That is why watching cartoons keeps you young to. I will be 27 in a few months and I fill old lol. Cartoons help me to not fill so old lol.

I don't know how people can say it is a gimmick and if it is a gimmick than so is 720 and 1080 lol. 4k looks amazing from what I have seen at bestbuy.
