Wanted to play some more Battlefield 1 before the beta ends so I turn on PS4 and it's still under maintenance.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Don't really think that Sony is coasting at all. The only major negative that I have against Sony is announcing games too soon. And even though the majority of their exclusives have been delayed at least once, Microsoft isn't much better but the exclusives on PlayStation 4 blow away the exclusives on Xbox One. Seriously, even Xbox One's best exclusive right now doesn't come close to Uncharted 4 and Bloodborne in terms of pure quality. Hell, I think the best exclusive on Xbox One is a timed exclusive and that ends in five weeks.
Not only that but look at Horizon, God of War IV and Days Gone. Outside of Gears of War 4, there isn't a single game that even comes close to these three PlayStation 4 exclusives. And best of all, two of the three are new IP's.
Both companies and consoles have their positives and negatives. Here's the biggest negative for Microsoft and Xbox One - even when they develop and release a new exclusive IP, for whatever reason, it doesn't sell. None of Microsoft's exclusives sell other than Halo, Gears and Forza.
The reason why is simple - Halo and Gears have single player campaigns but are way more focused and geared towards online play. Sony's exclusives aren't focused on online play. That's why Microsoft has always charged more for Xbox Live Gold (until later this month).
Sony is charging $10 more for one simple reason - they can. I don't blame them one bit. They're still even and competitive with their main competitor so I really don't see the big deal.
And as for E3 2013, don't really see how any true gamer was happy with what they wanted to pull off with Xbox One. I'm sure someone will correct me if im wrong or missing something but always online, no used games, etc. Sorry but seriously, what kind of crap is that? And you wanted them to succeed?
I own both consoles and actually support new IP's by buying them (like Xbox One's ReCore in a week) despite being more of a PlayStation guy because the new IP looks to be worth a purchase. Hell, even the most true Xbox One fans don't even buy Microsoft's new exclusive IP's. It's sad that those who prefer the competition (like me) are the one's who are supporting these games more than their own fan/user base.
But look on the bright side, Xbox One has come a long way since E3 2013 and yeah, I'll admit that Phil Spencer has done a lot to get it to where it currently is and yeah, I'll admit that they've done more than Sony has in a lot of ways but at the same time, it wasn't Sony who screwed up at E3 2013, it was Microsoft and like Sony found out at E3 2006, when you screw up, you tend to have to try and work harder to get back to where you were before you screwed up.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
If PS+ increased their price by 20 bucks annually and included some sort of limited Vue and Now access in it, I think I would be all over that.
I understand why that is not going to happen though.
Like others have said, maybe we find out a cool tidbit tomorrow regarding PSN service!"Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Isn't it obvious? The $10 increase allowed us to finally get folders....Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Only have 'Applications' folder right now. Need to make ones for games, just have not settled on themes.
Thinking 'SciFi', 'Sports', 'Dystopia', 'Reboot', 'Cinematic', etc..
Different spin on the traditional genres folder naming. Also would allow for different gameplay genres to coexist in the same folder which have a common theme.
I.e. Star Wars in the same folder as No Man's Sky, Alien Isolation, etc..
Decisions, decisions.

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Nothing in a controlled lab, but still a good idea of how much quieter the PS4 Slim is compared to the OG. By a good 10db on average.
PS4 Slim’s Fan Noise Level Tested and Compared Against Original PS4
Interesting so the slim is like 30% more quiet then the normal ps4? I see people ever where saying that the ps4 is loud yet I find the ps4 to be pretty quite over all. Ps3 was really loud and then slim ps3 made like zero sound. Ps4 I find is like in the middle. Makes less sound then the ps3 but more then the ps3 slim.Comment

Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion
Ok so bear with me a second, I was several pages back on this thread and didn't bother to catch backup. So with that said, most will know I'm more of a PC gamer. Around 80 to 90 percent of my time is spent on PC titles streaming and only select games like Madden get play time on my PS4. In the last two weeks everytime I got on to stream madden PSN was down, Sony should fix this situation or reverse their stance on increasing the PSN price.
I love PS Vue and I even enjoy PSN but the problem for me lies in the fact I spend ZERO dollars to use Steam, Origin, or dreaded UPlay services. Yet I'm spending what will now be $60 bucks for an online service which I don't use much to begin with BUT when I do its down often enough to be a problem. That to me is flat out unacceptable! You can't keep telling paying customers "Sorry, thanks for being patient"! It shouldn't happen first of all, second it if continues to happen then you surely can't expect a price increase to go over well. Oh well just wanted to come rant to you mofos, I'm just annoyed my Madden night got screwed up.
If EA ever wises up and brings madden to pc, sorry Sony but I'm ducking out of consoles forever!
This is for you Sony
