What about the PS VR though? How does that factor in?

PSVR can't do HDR, so while some games may benefit, won't be huge.

Yeah, I know, I meant that I have read in PS VR reviews that the PS4 Pro will offer significant help with getting PS VR visuals up a bit in both frame rate and overall awesomeness.

HDR lighting appears to be more dynamic and has more range.

I most noticed the much superior floor on the HDR screen, but when i first looked at it I thought the one on the left was the better one, the HDR one, because the lighting is brighter..but yeah I see now after I read about it what I was looking at

THE PRO would have been an awesome upgrade if Sony was not afraid to hurt the feelings of their current install base by shutting down half the GPU for non patched games.. So if a game has no patch and not many do then it runs exactly the same as base ps4

I am just hoping it upscales to 4K like the S which is a good update if Sony used a great upscaler but yet to be seen.

Imagine if all games took advantage of both GPU

So I use a 25ft HDMI cable that goes from my basement to my bedroom (hooked up to a monitor). I bought this HDMI cable approximately two years ago. It's not a Monster cable but it's one of high quality. Will I have to replace that HDMI cable? I'm a little confused by this.

No you do not have to replace the hdmi cable...HDMI 2.0 is hardware update not a cable update

They put out a video on TF2 and I'm fully convinced now that even if you have a 1080p screen, supersampling alone is worth the cost of admission in getting a Pro. The video looks incredibly good even in 1080p. Guys like JareBear will be happy with their purchase I think.

i thought i read it is a monster cable...LOL...What brand is it?

I have a 4 year old monster that does 4K easily and runs xbox one s which requires 2.0 with no issues

the cable that comes with the ps4 pro is more then enough

Just got home from my morning shift of the day and read the review. All I can say is Yes Please, and Thank You Sir May I Have Another.

CANT WAIT to see how devs take advantage of super-sampling for 1080p games going forward! WOOHOO!! Quality AA on consoles FINALLY???? LETS GO wednesday night cant get here fast enough. Gonna only work a half-day on Thursday, miss the morning shift and go in for the afternoon.
