To those who know about electronics how often should I be cleaning my Pro? I've had it since launch and have never cleaned the fan. I do wipe the area that the Pro is on every day but I know that doesn't keep it 100% clean.

I usually run a vacuum around my consoles every couple months making sure all vented areas are free of dust.

Well Ill try to keep this as short as I can, I have owned the PS4 in the past, it was great for me, and of course I got rid of it. I have so much invested in my Xbox one as far Digital games. over 100. Now I just purchased the PS4 Pro about 2 months ago and I'm happy to say that i fell back in good terms with Sony again, I love the system, I LOVE the boost mode feature it work and works great. HDR 4K looks awesome too.

So now being an Xbox guy I'm interest in Scorpio just as the next guy, yes its going to be more powerful, but and i say BUT, doesn't mean its really going to hurt the Pro, and I hope Sony lets the PS4 Pro live as long as it can, its more then enough powerful no doubt to keep holding it's own even when Scorpio release. As many said its all about the GAMES. I will not move away from MS cause I have to much invested, my son plays it and my girl. I play the PS4 more then the Xbox now.

Also Boost mode I can't say enough about it, it really works great. I just re-purchased Infamous SS again and the frame rate is top notch.

Anyway jut wanted to say I hope Sony keeps the Pro around longer then what I have been reading, the system is great and I'm enjoy the Pro a lot at this point. With all the great games Sony has and has to come , I don't think the Scorpio is really going to alter that at all. This is Just my opinion.

All this news about a possible PS5 next year, that would mean that my Pro that I spent $400 will be used for what then???? about The Scorpio, I own so many digital games I bought and free from MS that I will still be bale to play them all still.


They just need to come out with the PS5 two or even 3 years from now. That's makes sense, cause then what do I do with a 2 year old system in the Pro, nothing???

I'm curious to see if Sony gives any information or hints as to when they plan to release the PS5 at this year's E3 show.

Personally I'm good with whenever they plan to release it, whether it be next year or a couple of years from now.

Sony is NOT going to release an upgraded PS4 Pro or PS5 in 2018. At worst, you'll get PS4 Pro with a 4K Blu Ray player and even this, I don't see happening.

PS4 Pro and Scorpio are mid gen consoles that I believe are one and done simply because neither will sell enough units to make it worth it for Sony and Microsoft.

E3 2019 is the earliest you'll see PS5 and the reason why is simple - it's going to take that long for a next gen CPU to be cheap enough to mass produce and implement into the console.

I'm hoping we get some release dates at E3. Also would love it if one of the big Sony exclusives come out this year. I would think Sony would want to get at least one more exclusive out for the holiday season with the Scorpio coming out.

I know what you mean bud and I don't want that to happen either. Sony can and should go into hibernation for a few years in regards to hardware as they already won this generation as Scorpio isn't going to change that. Two years from now is when I think we'll hear/read rumors about PlayStation 5. It took Sony three years to research, develop, manufacture and release Pro so I would expect another three years from this past November.

As im sure you already know, Far Cry 5 was officially announced by Ubisoft and is one of four game set to be released by Ubisoft before March 31st 2018. The other three games are Assassin's Creed Origins, The Crew 2 and South Park: The Fractured But Whole.

ACO is guaranteed this October but im also hoping for Far Cry 5 this year as well.

Remains to be seen what Sony's strategy is. MS will be cranking out the latest and greatest (1-2 year old) hardware every 4-5 years for the foreseeable future with a large overlap in release compatibility. By that I mean a lot of indies released in 15 years on the Scorpio Pro Omega II don't need all that horsepower and could run on the original Xbox One.

I very much look forward to how Sony responds to that.

Me too but I would say that all three are 0%. Outside of Gran Turismo Sport, Sony isn't going to release a top tier exclusive this fall/holiday season for one simple reason, just like the last three years, they simply don't need to. They win the fall/holiday months with third party marketing deals. They have Destiny 2 in September, COD and BF2 in November. I don't see Sony releasing any top tier exclusive because of this.

I am expecting release dates for the first two games at E3. I'm guessing Days Gone for February 2018 and God of War in March 2018.

Disregard that stuff, its nonsense. No PS5 is coming anytime soon.
