I didn't test the good one upstairs cause it's a pain to get that unhooked. Still seems like upstairs Kinect is broken unless anything else to try.
Yeah, if you tested the broken one on the other Xbox, and it's still broken, then calling support is the right thing to do. Sorry!

Thanks! Not sure if I have the desire to unhook my cable ties and test the good one on the other Xbox, but since this one is verified broken I'll just call support this weekend.

Do they send one out and I send back, or do I have to send it in first? Luckily it's just Kinect, so I can deal without it up there for a bit.

Honestly not sure. It's not my department, so I haven't had to deal with it. I could see it being either way.

The new TV features coming up in the November update look kind of awesome. You may make the One Guide something I use yet. The guide on my DVR is just a lot more useful at this point.

Yeah we don't use it a ton either (the most deeply ingrained habits are the hardest to break - that and we watch a lot of time-shifted programming that the Xbox One can't access) but could see myself grabbing the Xbox remote when I'm not sure what I want to watch to check the trending stuff.

Yeah, I'll have to check that out...We just use the cable remote cause we DVR stuff, but these features could be pretty interesting.

any thoughts to possible adding the sound mixer to the snap screen? It would be so much more convenient than having to go to sound settings any time I want to mix it up.

Doesn't the XB1 have an IR Out port that could be used in some way to send out the IR signal without having a Kinect?

Yes, you can get a IR Extension Cable.

I mentioned this to the guy who owns that part of the UX (~1 month ago). He liked the idea, but as with all work, it needs to be balanced against the other work they are planning.

This weekend, I can nolonger change channels by saying xbox watch NBC, or Fox or whatever channel. This worked fine up until saturday night I believe. I can still change channels with my regular remote, but navigating the oneguide or using the kinect is a no go. the channels aren't found when trying to change, even though everything shows up fine in the oneguide. I tried to reconnect the devices to xb1 under the tv and oneguide settings and a no go. Tried a hard reset, still nothing. If you need more info, I will PM you it.

I know that Hard reset fixes just about everything, but it didn't work for me. Everything is in the one guide, but I get an error message when selecting the channel, or using the kinect to change channels. also was there a change to the channel up and down command on the controller? hittung up and down on the d-pad since the last update changes a preview in the oneguide, instead of just changing the channel since the last update.

Hey Matt, sorry about the issues. A few questions:
                                1) Is it just a problem with channel change? Does volume up work fine? Power?
                                2) What's the error message that's displayed?
                                3) Who is your TV provider, and what's the make & model of your set top box?
