Before the holidays there's been a consistent 5-10+ OSers playing BF4 every night on the PS4.

I don't understand the sentiment that the One is more of a multiplayer focused machine when the PS4 can do everything necessary to be deemed that as well. If we're talking about the PS3 and 360, than obviously you're correct. But with the PS4 and One, I just can't agree.

If we want to go off of just our own friends, basically everyone I know got the PS4 for multiplayer, and they are on it every day partying up together.

The comparisons are all personal....I don't get the impressions that Xbox is less of a gaming box but people say them...everything is our feel and opinions

But the impression is based on a small subset of people playing, not the actual system itself.

I know part of it is my friends list. The culture is different though - people playing the XB1 typically have headsets. Even reading messages here from people who used to play primarily on Xbox are asking if Battlefield is broken because no one has a mic.

Again, this is my impression, not yours. Not expecting everyone to agree or disagree.

I agree 100%

I love both consoles. Yes the PS4 is now or for NOW the multi plat gaming console.

Madden, COD, BF those games look better on the PS4 but as much as I love LOVE the dual shock 4 there is nothing like the sweetness and precise accuracy of the xb1 thumb sticks. It just feels like a gaming controller. The thumb stick placement is huge for me in this case.. But the DS4 is an outstanding controller over the crap that was DS3

Now Sony is charging to play online and all yesterday and this morning the PSN was down and I was not able to play COD or BF but I have had no issues playing with friends on XB1 those games

Even though they do not look as nice as the PS4 version. But if Sony is going to start charging they need to raise their game because in the month I have had the console there have been to many instances of PSN network failures or crashes.

I have had no such issue with the XB1

I also seem to get my a55 handed to me in COD on XB1 but I do much better on PS4

I just think the bigger and more hardcore FPS players are on XB1 as Pared stated.

But that 1080P on a big Plasma sure looks purtyyyy

does anyone happen to own both NBA 2k14 and NBA Live? On PS4 I have NBA 2K14, Madden, Fifa, and Killzone…on XB1 I have Forza, Killer Instinct, Battle Field and Ryse. I feel like I need at least 1 sports game on the 1, but I don't want to double buy anything. I'm curious on if Live is any good from someone who owns both.

I have both and have not touched 2k for awhile. Live has already made nice improvements compared to the demo. Something about that game just keeps me coming back.

Yeah, Live is a solid title, and much better than the reputation it has gotten. It's worth checking out. And by checking out, I don't mean the demo, which is not representative of where the game is now.

But I still went back to NBA 2K14, as I like the classic teams, play art, and the controls are too different to go back and forth. Plus, 2K14 is still the better game between the two.

For those who have both - how do you feel about the exclusives in the future and not-so-distant future? Everytime I think I have a decision made on which machine to get I start doing more research, watching you tube vids and then I am right back to square one again.

People have been asking me - well what type of games do you prefer? Fact is, I enjoyed games from BOTH the 360 and PS3. I have some bias for Naughty Dog since Uncharted 2 and Last of Us were two of my top 5 games of the generation - but everything else was multiplatform.

I do feel like Sony will ultimately have the better game selection in the end. But I play games less nowadays with other priorities and that's where having a device like the One that acts as a complete entertainment system might hold more value...
