My PS4 & XBone review: to me it's like food, the PS4 has a better main dish(the game) but weaker side dishes & the XBone's main entree is inferior to the 4 but it has better side dishes(everything except for the actual game).
Hope this help you all out.

I'd describe it like that as well!

I'm very close to pulling the trigger on the One, but outside of Titanfall I'm none too excited. I already have most of the current releases on PS4. Any thoughts?

If you're OK with using it for exclusives and it's financially feasible, than I say go for it. I let my Wife and kid use the One for gaming, and I use the PS4. They love playing Lego Movie and Zoo Tycoon, and I use it for Forza, and soon for TitanFall. Like others have said previously - this generation the PS4 is my primary gaming machine, and the One is there for exclusives.

The One has become the new Nintendo, lol. General gaming on your PS, and Nintendo (or the One in this case) for their exclusives.

If financially feasible down the line, I will probably do the same but MS still needs to show me more exclusives I'd have to have for that kind of buy-in. Right now, Forza is not enough to warrant it (even if I had the cash).

Might be going this route, which is odd to me since in the 6th generation I was all Xbox, and in the 7th generation I was a 360 guy until about summer 2012. Since then I've got about 20+ games on ps3 and only one title on 360. This gen I elected to go with PS4 first, I'm simply waiting for MS to "wow" me.

                -I like the TV integration
-I like the instant switching and snap-able apps
-I like the potential of a standardized Kinect for games
-I like the One controller with asymmetrical sticks
-I like Xbox's franchises and MS has done a good job introducing new IPs, so far
-I have couple of good friends who also own XB1s and I want to be able to game with them

On the flipside, the PS4 is cheaper, has stronger hardware, better performing multiplats, and tremendous value with their PS+ service. Knowing all of that, I still chose Xbox and have not regretted it. As much as MS has shot themselves in the foot in a lot of ways, when I sit down and turn on my XB1, I have fun. I would suggest picking up whichever console excites you the most and enjoy. You can't really go wrong.
If I could do it over again I might have gone ps4. I have an xboner, and enjoy it - so I could never say there is regret.

But I'm opposite to that ps4 guy who wants titanfall, I don't even get the appeal - it's a mech game essentially which I've never liked or understood.

In the end, I may be in the minority, but both launches were weak for games and there isn't a ton on the immediate horizon. I said I was going to wait, until may to get one of them, and should have because I would have finished some games I had and was still really enjoying - also like someone else said, I think the 360 controller is better. The problem is, once I upgrade I'm done with the 360 - it's sitting in a box, I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it, but I've moved on.

if you want to talk exclusives even for the rest of the year for me personally they are both on the weak side. I don't see the point in owning both unless it's a way for you to get gaming time by yourself without holding up your family from using a TV/Cable etc. and vise versa.

I've pre ordered the Titanfall bundle from Newegg and it will accompany my PS4. The thing that has really irked me from the beginning, and this coming from a mostly 360 user in the past, is the mandatory Kinect.

I see that it is not mandatory in order to play the Xbox One and just checking here to see if anyone does not use theirs. I also see that these Kinects are fetching anywhere between around 90 to 120 dollars on Ebay.

Thinking this might be an option as I have absolutely no use for it unless the gaming portion is somehow affected. I don't play dance or exercise games so that won't be an issue.

I know with Dead Rising 3 it is used to push zombies off of you. Don't know if you can change it to a button press though

You need to keep it as it's the central media part of your system for voice commands and controlling your cable box.

Weak launches is the case with every console launch. Both Sony and Microsoft are launching console exclusives this m.onth in Titanfall and Infamous. That's two big releases coming from both companies.

If you go on ebay some people are selling consoles only without wires or kinect. I think some people are trying to "build" their xbox one console for cheaper.
