Honestly - I don't care if they develop for it at all. I may be in the minority here, but I could not care less about the integration of the Kinect into the games. It has, and always will be a gimmick that is forced upon me, and the style of gaming I like. I have never once longed for the option to hit a golf ball by swinging a fake club, or jacking a home-run over the right center-field wall by flipping a fake bat at some demon eye.

Re: Owners of both PS4 and Xbox One: Pros and Cons
Well, they won't do it for peripherals....do any PS4 games use the Move? That seems DOA, along with the camera....
More of a shot of getting quality implementations since they know every Xbox One owner has Kinect, so more likely everyone will use it.
I'm done with buying add on peripherals though, they don't get high enough adoption rates to warrant devs actually caring.
I just like that guys like studbucket will still be dedicated to adding awesome features to the Xbox One dashboard. I felt that Sony didn't do anything on PS3 to make me feel good about their experience on that front, but MS has completely revamped their dashes multiple times to make them better.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

I agree with you on that front, but I do like the voice activated stuff at times....Honestly - I don't care if they develop for it at all. More my thoughts are that at this point MS has stuck by Kinect so it makes no sense to decouple it from the bundle now. If they were going to do that then do it before launch. Now they just need to ride this out and go from there.
I don't want hokey "Kinect only" games, but just smart ways of using it could be cool. It's proven that devs don't embrace addons though, Sony killed Move and Camera by not requiring it IMO. Not that I care, but just saying.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

The PS4 is nothing more than a webcam for when you stream, which I'm 100% fine with LOLI agree with you on that front, but I do like the voice activated stuff at times....

I agree though, it's pointless for the system unless you stream, otherwise no one should run out to buy one. Nothing uses it except Playroom and NBA 2K.Comment

Well I do have the PS4 camera, and I am hoping I can take a quick shot of myself for my RTTS guy - other than that it does a great job of keeping dust of the top of my TV.Twitch - bluengold34_osComment

Re: Owners of both PS4 and Xbox One: Pros and Cons
That's the type of stuff I'm hoping devs do....and it's more likely on Kinect than PS4 camera (though if they do one they may just do both, I dunno)....
Like the EA MyPlayer or whatever it was where you uploaded pictures and it'd create your golfer....that would be great if they could just have you stand closer to a camera and it works.
I get that people aren't into Kinect though, and completely get your issues/reasons. I'm just glad both systems are solid and fun.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Owners of both PS4 and Xbox One: Pros and Cons
I'm on board with different type of innovating ways truly enhancing each console's experience when it comes to the Kinect or PS4 camera. There are some cool things they could really do with each one, now the questions is - will they? That's the type of stuff I'm hoping devs do....and it's more likely on Kinect than PS4 camera (though if they do one they may just do both, I dunno)....

Re: Owners of both PS4 and Xbox One: Pros and Cons
I've said this numerous times but I want to see them utilize the kinect and ps camera for head tracking. Plenty of games from shooters like ARMA to flight sims like War Thunder could benefit from this.
Its a game changer in my opinion if you have ever used a head tracking hardware/software like Track IR.Comment

Re: Owners of both PS4 and Xbox One: Pros and Cons
Its like when buying a new tv...Why Do I have to have 3D in my LED from Samsung when I dont want to ever use it....Sure they offer non 3D models but the pq is not nearly as good as the higher end model
Am sure if my tv had no 3d or smart features that i can care less for I would have paid much less. Or the skype camera....And those things are not nearly as valuable to the experience of the tv as kinect is to the experience of xb1
Without kinect and its features there is only a graphical update to what we had with the 360 and that to me is not innovation.
I dont plan to buy games for kinect but my kinect went bad when i got the xb1 and I felt naked playing xb1 without it because I lost the feeling of satisfaction coming into my man cave while walking into the room and saying xbox on and boom...Turned on my tv, receiver, and xb1
sat down and said Hi NYGIants4Natic....
When I am watching netflix I can just lie down after long day at work and say forward or back or pause or stop without having to use the controller.
XBOX go to bing......And I say Robert Deniro...Boom finds me all his movies available through the apps I have installed without browsing with a controller and etc etc
Want to redeem code...No more bs entering long numbers
Just put the barcode infront of you and boom downloads the itemComment

BF4 does this, you can lean around coreners and the head-tracking works in all vehicles. it's kind of cool sometimes I turn it off though depending on how/where I"m sitting.I've said this numerous times but I want to see them utilize the kinect and ps camera for head tracking. Re: Owners of both PS4 and Xbox One: Pros and Cons
Can you transfer music on either system??? Can i put my music over and listen to it as i play or use custom music to make games better???? I can't find anywhere where it says we can do it and it so will it be simple as transfer from usb to sytem instead of the stupid way xbox360 does it where you have to rename each song create playlist etc..... It should be the easiest thing in the world to do dang it.Comment
