Re: Owners of both PS4 and Xbox One: Pros and Cons
It's not hyperbole. Its personal experience. Every time that I turn FIFA on and play the mode that I want to play I have been able to play the game. NBA not so much. Freezing, game elements not working, etc. You can make excuses for 2k all you want, but the very fact that you have to quantify your argument that 2k has major problems and is patching them and is excusable because they built it from the ground up (despite it not being that different than current gen outside of graphics) falls right in line with what I said and you decided to argue against in that 2k IS NOT A STABLE GAME RIGHT NOW. I own both games and have put significant time in with both and can flat out say that FIFA is a more stable game. I can also say that if you own the current gen version of either game then there is no NEED to upgrade to next gen. 2k especially if online is at all important to you.To claim FIFA has no issue is total bs - there are Youtube channel dedicated toward that. And where does your "60%" come from? Come on guys. Don't pay attention to hyperbole like this. 2K hit a reset button and there are quite a few issues that they are supposedly patching. Sucks, but understandable when you don't do a direct port up like FIFA and Madden did. Which is why I said - if you have the current gen version of FIFA, there's no point to getting the next-gen version. Beyond that, pick your FAVORITE sport and go with it. Make you OWN choice. Most of the people that will reply to you post - which frankly is off topic - will be those with a personal bone to pick. If that's how you decide what to buy, I feel bad for you. Hell, if you do that, going to a forum is the WORST place get even opinions. May as well go to Metacritic.
And since we are on a comparison thread for people that own both giving an opinion do you have both FIFA and NBA2K and played both or are you just going off playing NBA and watching youtube for FIFA?Last edited by Dogslax41; 12-06-2013, 11:01 AM.Comment

Since he has already made his choice, there is no point to continuing this. I just have a couple of point to close:It's not hyperbole. Its personal experience. When you throw numbers like 100% out there it's hyperbole to me.
To say NBA 2k is the same game outside of graphics is not true. It's so not true, one could call it an issue.
And this is not a general comparison thread. It's about the consoles. Not FIFA and 2K.
Yes, I've played both games. I've pretty much played every major next gen title. Some more than others.

Re: Owners of both PS4 and Xbox One: Pros and Cons
Well as of this morning you can add me to the "both console" list! I was at Costco this morning with no intention of buying an Xbox One and yet there was a new stack of them staring me in the face. I just couldn't resist...

Re: Owners of both PS4 and Xbox One: Pros and Cons
I was having problems after release getting an online game in NBA2k, but it's working great now.(X1) Ive played like 10 games online in the past few days and haven't had a single problem. Also, you can now see your opponent's online record, winning streak, ppg, scouting report, etc. in the pregame loading screen. Whatever the problem was with their 2k servers, it seems to have been fixed. Would be great to get a roster update though.
As far as Madden and Fifa. I have both of those games on X1 and have not had any problems whatsoever playing online with those games.Last edited by ZB9; 12-06-2013, 03:06 PM.Comment

Re: Owners of both PS4 and Xbox One: Pros and Cons
I meant as what tou can do online. Fifa has pretty much the same options as current gen, with friends leaderboards online seasons. You can also make games mire sim orirnted by restricting cintrol setting to manual or semu assisted. NBA gives you quick match and a broken barebones online league with no customizable settings for online play. Fifa in an onlibe regard is more complete.Comment

Comments on articles are the home field of internet trolls and like I said to that in the other thread it was posted in - people like being part of a mob. Filter out the noise and pay more attention to actual news IMO.Comment

Re: Owners of both PS4 and Xbox One: Pros and Cons
There are plenty of issues with the PS4. (PSN alone is doing its best to stop me from favoring the PS4.) The whole DRM debacle put a bad taste in a lot of people's mouths and inclined a lot to be more vocal and look for issues with the Xbox. Most people that decided to switch to go PS4 did it when that was announced and now a lot of them are just trying to convince themselves the other system is some how sub par. Both consoles are having very similar issues on what appear to be about the same scale, which is to be expected at a console launch. Either system you go with you have a high likelihood of running into a couple issues.Originally posted by mm boostThis question might be better suited for this thread:
I've always had both systems and have both again this round. That being said I do all my gaming on my PS4. Not necessarily because I can say it's better for gaming but since the Xbox is so much better at media and things other than gaming its in my living room and the PS4 is in my office, where I go so the wife can watch TV. Now come next March both console's may be moved into my office with the release of The Show and Titanfall.Last edited by Dogslax41; 12-09-2013, 02:25 PM.Comment

Frankly, don't pay attention to internet trolling. The XO is not bad at all. The voice commands are a little bit of a let down, but the overall experience is actually better than I expected. I don't think you should regret your XO at all. Same for PS4. It really is red versus blue honestly.Originally posted by mm boostThis question might be better suited for this thread:Comment

This. And another reason I play more games on my PS4 is because it came out first. So the cross platform games I have are all for the PS4 because that's what was available. There are plenty of issues with the PS4. (PSN alone is doing its best to stop me from favoring the PS4.) Re: Owners of both PS4 and Xbox One: Pros and Cons
Yep.
Titanfall is going to be a beast of a game.
The hype train hasn't caught up to the game for this one....which is usually the other way around.
For Year1...it will justify my XBone purchase.

Re: Owners of both PS4 and Xbox One: Pros and Cons
I just hope they don't go stupid with it like they have with call of duty. The speed of those games now is flat silly. It's like playing the game in fast forward, which to me is pointless for a game directed from a supposed realistic stand point.
Keep the speed of TitanFall down and don't integrated a silly perk system. Keep it more ground like the first modern warfare was !!!

Dude!!! That's a HUGE reason I HATE FPS's. On top of the fact that I feel very little has been done to really advance the experience of FPSs...I just hope they don't go stupid with it like they have with call of duty.
