Re: Retro Console/Game Collecting Thread
I am not sure if anyone has heard about it yet, but Sony is going to launch their PlayStation 1 console with built-in 20 retro games on December 3rd, 2018 this year. Costing around $100 which is not cheap I believe but fans will be having a great nostalgic experience with it.Comment

Re: Retro Console/Game Collecting Thread
Today starts the Louisville Arcade Expo. Lots of vendors with retro games attend. I have my money ready to find some classics to add to the collection.
Come on red PS3!!!I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

My best scores from day one.
Fewer vendors this year makes pickings slim. One guy has good stuff but he’s completely outrageous in price.
Hope to find more gems in day two

Re: Retro Console/Game Collecting Thread
Absolutely
We went to half priced books and Game Xchange during our dinner run.
GameXchange had Wall Street Kid for NES, a game I’ve been searching for forever. But the back was covered in marker
At Half Price Books I found the PS1 Grand Theft Auto Collectors Edition that has GTA 1,2, and London. $20 perfect condition.
Not going to Expo today. Snow and rain setting in and I’m exhausted lol.

Re: Retro Console/Game Collecting Thread
Earlier this year/late last year I modded an OG Xbox for the purpose of playing NCAA 06. Got over that pretty quickly and now I want to play some of the old Zelda game I missed when I was a sports game exclusive guy back in the d*mn day as a youth. LolF-L-O-R-I-D-A! S-T-A-T-E! Re: Retro Console/Game Collecting Thread
I've really been having a blast playing Madden 2004 and NCAA 2004 lately. Those are the best editions when you combine them. I would love to play Madden 2003 and NCAA 2003, but the absence of a running qb on Madden 2003 kills it for me.NFL- Green Bay Packers
NCAA- Florida State Seminoles
NHL- Carolina HurricanesComment

Re: Retro Console/Game Collecting Thread
Went to the CinciClassic yesterday which was advertised as being similar to the Louisville Arcade Expo, but it wasn't even close. They advertised arcade cabinets, pinball machines, and classic consoles and handhelds, as well as vendors. Cost to get in was $10.
They had 5 arcade cabinets (2 didn't work), 1 pinball machine, a gameboy, and a NES. The Genesis and SNES didn't work either.
The vendors had some cool stuff but it was so damn overpriced. Def Jam Fight for NY (regular edition) was $90. That's BS. Splatterhouse 1 and 2 each were $300 or you could buy both for $550 (save $50)
I did buy Donkey Kong Classics on the NES (has DK and DK jr games) and GI Joe Rise of Cobra for PS3. I got both for $15 (each was $10) That wasn't bad.
Other than that the event was a complete waste of tieI can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

Re: Retro Console/Game Collecting Thread
I remember that G.I. Joe game being pretty good.
I haven't been tempted to venture out and look recently for games. Trying to play what I have, and that's been going well so far. Maybe in a couple of months I'll see what's out there, but the pricing is way out of control that deals are almost non-existent.Currently Playing:

Re: Retro Console/Game Collecting Thread
It’s getting harder and harder to find good quality retro games and consoles at a fair price

Re: Retro Console/Game Collecting Thread
Has anyone tried or purchased the:
PushRetro game system?
Pushretro.com
They have a system with 5 different retro controllers.
It has over 20K games. The list is extensive and has every game you could ever want. You can save any game (that had a save feature) on the console.
Looking for feedback on this.
199.99
Seems like a great little system.
HDMI input to your TV. Fits in the Palm of your hand
