Most of the best gaming monitors range from 24" to 28"

If you're going to be sitting at a gaming desk that close to your gaming monitor you really don't need much larger than that range.

Plus at those sizes it keeps the cost a bit more reasonable. Once you start pushing past 28" towards 32" an onwards the prices go up quite a bit.

Now if you were being facetious then disregard everything I said lol.

Yeah 28 is great size. The 27 inch samsung I just has been solid. I do get a little ghosting though but its not bad.

I do want a 21:9 display because I watch movies more than I game and would love the extra real estate and higher resolution.

You don't need 144hz. Any gaming monitor is fine.

Agreed. If you are only playing on consoles, more than 60hz is actually counter productive as it may introduce some lag.

Assuming nothing is wrong with it that's a deal imo, I have a BenQ 27 in and I love it, it definitely makes a difference with the 1 ms response time. I think cheapest one I've seen of any BenQ model is $200+.

I think if you've never gamed on a dedicated gaming monitor before you will be pleased, I was when I first made the jump

With an xb1 s I have to say no because it's not going to take advantage of its best feature being HDR capabilities and HDR player, gameplay wise yes. To truly maximize your xb1 s your going to need a HDR capable 4K tv, with low input lag. I don't think BenQ has any monitors that support that yet, I could be wrong as I haven't looked recently

That should be a done deal for you.

I have a 24" BenQ and although I have a newer monitor now I'll always love that BenQ. It's absolutely solid in almost every aspect.
