    It's an IPS

Regarding HDR monitors and the 1K price range.

        https://www.reddit.com/r/Monitors/co...tor_this_year/

And we've talked about the 32" LG suggested in the reddit thread already. That's a no go, it isn't a true HDR (only 400 nits or so, far too low).

Too bad. I'm impatiently waiting for a true HDR monitor to hit. I'll pay the price for it.

I'm just showing it because it's new, I wouldn't at that price either. We'll find a solid HDR one eventually. At a fair, reasonable price hopefully.

                    Re: Gaming Monitor discussion

This thing fits perfectly on my desk. I won't get to use it much until Monday, but I played a quick game of 2K and a few rounds of Battlefield and there's a significant difference. I feel like I've been playing Battlefield with a handi cap for a while now... so much more clear and vivid...

I'll clean up the wires and experiment with settings and viewing angles. I'm really, really happy with the purchase. I don't have a nice 4K HDR TV to compare, but I've been wanting to switch to a monitor for a long time and this is definitely an upgrade.

Thanks for all the feedback on your purchases. It definitely helped me make the decision to upgrade.

Any good/true 4K HDR 10 monitors announced or available yet? Did anyone purchase that LG one? Tough to find reviews on it.

Not that I'm aware of, I haven't really kept up on it. Been a bit busy and forgot, plus my LG has been serving me well.

Those of us with 4K monitors waiting for the price to come down on HDR monitors. Well maybe you really don't need HDR anytime soon.
